No matter how he changes his tone he will not garner the minority votes that is a fact !!

With all due respect Jose, neither candidate gives a shit about minorities- sure they want the votes but don't think for a moment either white candidate gives a shit about anything but themselves and their rich friends. Sad, but the truth. As every election cycle proves, the "hope and change" mantra and dreams they spew are only to get themselves in office.
I don't understand this statement. Are you saying a white candidate can't possibly care about minorities, are you saying that a person can only care for someone of the same color, or are you saying that white candidates only care about their rich friends?

None of that, I'm saying that neither of these candidates care about minorities. They're saying they do to get into the White House, pure and simple. I don't know if it's a white thing or not, I have no idea. I know that both these candidates are white, that's about it, and that all they care about is getting in the White House and perpetuating their own success and those that have helped them along the way

Edit- after staring at this for a minute I guess I'm saying regardless of race, I think ALL pres candidates at the end of the day will say and do anything to get as many votes as possible. If it means acting a certain way or saying a certain thing, so be it. I don't trust either of them- trump may say messed up things but never do them, and Hillary may act like she'll do certain things and never follow up, it's all smoke in mirrors to get elected

    not true.

rubio passed an immigration bill in the senate. then he had to withdraw his support of his own bill because of party pressure and because obama agreed with his position. he could not be seen supporting anything obama thought was a good idea.

also, obama made a lot of promises and really tried to keep most of them. it is impossible when you have an intransigent opposition party that will not cooperate on any issue.

If President Obama had stood up in front of congress and said "ladies and gentleman I would like to propose a bill that states that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west "
The Republicans would have voted against it.

he could propose a bill stating gays can marry, religion will be taught in public schools, all abortion is made illegal, put jesus on the $5 bill and reagan on the $50, repeal obamacare and replace it with something terriffic, guns and ammo for everyone from the onset of puberty on through adulthood, and authorization of war with all of islam and the gop would oppose it because it gives rights to gay people.

Aren't congressmen elected every 2 years by the people? Sounds like you're blaming the system for working like it's supposed to. Of course people will bitch about executive orders, that's not how it's supposed to work.

The Founders didn't intend for the abuse of the cloture or the fillibustering that occurs with every bill today. Essentially nothing gets passed without 2/3 of the Senate. That was never the intention. Both sides have taken advantage of arcane procedural rules.

Hilarious that Drumpf is now backing away from his Muslim ban. It's official....he's a politician
But in a separate interview that day, Trump suggested he wasn't actually proposing a hard ban on immigration from "terrorist countries," but only that people from such states - which he would not specify - should be strongly screened.

On Monday evening it was announced that former Ted Cruz senior communications adviser Jason Miller had taken a job as Donald Trump’s new top spokesman. It didn’t take long for media outlets to notice that Miller had purged his extensive history of anti-Trump tweets, including recent ones referring to the candidate as “#SleazyDonald.” According to cached versions of his tweets, Miller repeatedly used the hashtag as a punchline to negative stories about his former boss’s top GOP primary rival. In other now-deleted tweets, Miller mocked Trump as “the Carl Lewis of flip-flopping,” dismissed the idea that his new boss is any more reasonable “behind closed doors,” and teased the real-estate mogul for the various controversies surrounding Trump University.

No, many of them ditch their consciences (or at best ignore them) because their desire for power and control and money supersedes it, but that doesn't even come close to defining sociopathy. Most politicians HAVE consciences. They just put them on the back burner.

I'm making a point of it because I don't think it's helpful to go around accusing politicians of being sociopaths or psychopaths or any other kinds of "-paths" when it doesn't actually apply, or using those terms like catchphrases. All that is is exaggeration (usually... once in a while it does apply!), and it leads to even more division than there already is.

Agreed 100%. Words lose their meaning when they are used in the hyperbolic sense. This why I would get so amped up when people said the Democratic primaries had 'voter suppression' or they are 'rigged'. Watch an election in Iraq, Iran, or Ukraine... that's rigged. Look at the old South before the Civil Rights Act... that's voter suppression. You also won't see me use words like Nazi when it comes to Trump. That word is too strong and needs to be reserved for when it really is happening, which hopefully is never.

nowhere does it list how he is the worlds greatest douchebag. yuge douchebag. like the best douchebag.

your fascination with a man you can't vote for is bordering on the disturbing.
It's not a fascination. Donald Trump winning will have immediate effects on other countries.

Trump has a very real chance at winning and unlike many Americans there are a lot of (and possibly more) Canadians who pay attention to American elections. Hillary is not a candidate to worry about she is boring and may win only because her opponent is Trump.

His own party can't stop him.
So to say it is bordering disturbing I say it is being involved in global affairs.

The 1st thing you need to come to terms with is Trump will not win he can't with out the , black , womens & hispanics votes not even counting all the other people he has disrespected ....
