No one should censor the word nigger when talking about the word being used. The shock factor of reading the word is incrediby important in getting rid of the word forever

Do you have any shred of doubt that there's video out there of him saying the n-word? I'd bet my life on its existence.

I do give him credit for saying what most people think, he calls a spade a spade not a "super-predator".
You think most people use this word in their head to identify black people? Wow.
Yeah, that kind of blew me away too.

JC, you do know "spade" is just a half step down for n*gger, right? Or are you just trolling?
Maybe to a very old way of thinking. A spade is a spade. I find zero racist undertones to it in this day and age when I use that term or hear it being said.
    A spade is a spade.

I never said most people refer to or think all black people are N words.

The conversation was about trump using the word nigger and you said that you give him credit for calling a spade a spade? How is that being misinterpreted?
When someone says black people, which to me means all black people.
Yes I think most people think n word when they see or hear about:
    Looters
    Gangsters
    Multiple baby mommies
Dark colored people kneeling during national anthems
    Dark colored people holding guns
Dark colored people with welfare cards
    Some rappers

Since we don't have any self admitting racists

    Perceived racial slur
The phrase predates the use of the word "spade" as an ethnic slur against African Americans, which was not recorded until 1928; however, in contemporary U.S. society, the idiom is often avoided due to potential confusion with the slur.

To "call a spade a spade" is a figurative expression which refers to calling something "as it is", that is, by its right or proper name, without "beating about the bush"—being outspoken about it, truthfully, frankly, and directly, even to the point of being blunt or rude, and even if the subject is considered coarse, impolite, or unpleasant. The idiom originates in the classical Greek of Plutarch's Apophthegmata Laconica, and was introduced into the English language in 1542 in Nicolas Udall's translation of the Apophthegmes, where Erasmus had seemingly replaced Plutarch's images of "trough" and "fig" with the more familiar "spade." The idiom has appeared in many literary and popular works, including those of Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, W. Somerset Maugham, and Jonathan Swift.

He's going all in tonight it seems. I think this accomplished nothing. If he follows this route tonight, I think even more GOP officials/reps/senators jump off the ship.

I'm all for it, let it be known who and what the next president is. Plus it helps 3rd parties.

Yeah it will help the third party candidates, but I would be amazed if the bump for Johnson even hit 5 points.

I'm sorry, this was overtly racist. You may think you were being cute, but it's transparent.

DNC RNC mutual goal is to convince America there are only 2 choices, most people don't know who Stein and Johnson are.

How about cnn changing third party to undecided after first debate focus group.

Maybe you two could not play the victim card and open your mind up some. Spade is a racist term and has been for a very long time, depending on the context it's used in. In this case, it came across racist. If you didn't know spade can be racist, well now you know. There's other racist terms that have been around for a long time, but fortunately, are on their way out of usage. If you watch old movies with people under the age of 30, some of the term they've never heard before.

Hell, you can have that word in a Pg13 movie now if it's for historical context like Ray, 42 and Get On Up. Blazing Saddles could be PG13 today.
