Not much different from Bernie's "They'll pay for it" rhetoric. No specifics needed.

Or Clinton's "One Ring to rule them all, One ring to find them; One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them" rhetoric.
So none of e'm are worthy of being POTUS !!

I remember in 2008 there was a report about how many people voted for Obama because of "Hope" and how it intrigued the young voters.

I lost hope for our collective IQ when a survey in 2004(ish) said that 12% of Americans still believe Elvis is alive.

Perhaps post this in the "Do You Think Deep Down, Americans Are Concerned That Donald Trump May Actually Win?" thread as well, Gern. There seems to be a surprising number of people who are afraid he will get elected. It's just not going to happen- not with next to no dems. voting for him and anybody with any kind of standing in the rep. party being strongly anti-Trump.

    they will fall in line.

these people have been demonizing the clintons for 30 years. especially her. so it is either vote for her or stay home. and these people have paid too much money to just stay home. just wait.

Have you people forgot that Independents in most states have not had a chance to vote yet? Primaries in most states are closed. There's no way Trump has a chance.

    Hillary Clinton
Pros( intelligent, seemingly reasonable, consistent on issues)
Cons ( Entrenched politician, disconnected , Cold)
Change for the better or business as usual?

    Donald Trump
Pros ( crazy, not a lawyer)
Cons ( crazy, brash, egotistical, offensive to many)
Changes will happen but good or bad?

Is this the best from both parties?

Absolutely not, if you count the other candidate who is still in it.

Here’s what Donald Trump says he’ll do in his first 100 days as president, according to today’s New York Times:

    1. Nominate a new Supreme Court justice in the mold of Justice Antonin Scalia.

    2. Rescind the Obama executive orders on immigration.

    3. Threaten punitive measures against corporate executives who shift jobs out of the United States.

    3. Design the wall with Mexico, seal the southern border, and assign more security agents along it.

    4. Put in place a ban on immigration to the United States by Muslims.

    5. Rescind the Obama executive orders on immigration.

    6. Repeal the Affordable Care Act.

    7. Give military leaders more power over foreign affairs.

    8. Put business executives and generals in charge of cabinet agencies.

    9. Use twitter and other social media to intimidate and bully adversaries.

    10. Begin an audit of the Federal Reserve.

And that's just a start. As commander-in-chief, Donald Trump would have control over the nation's nuclear warheads, and its spy agencies (including domestic spying). He'd have enormous discretion over how the nation's laws were executed and administered -- labor laws, civil rights and voting rights, women's rights, environmental protection. And he's have the Bully Pulpit to spread his racist and xenophobic venom.

He couldn't get that done in 8 years of office, let alone the first 100 days.

How so? I thought Obama was a good president and would go down as one of the greats according to people here? What below is moving in the conservative direction? The answer is none.

    - gay rights
    - universal health care
    - minimum wage laws
    - open borders
    - marijauna legalization
    - suppression of religious freedoms
    - government spending
    - diminishing US power
    - teaching at college campuses
    - suppression of alternative viewpoints
    - free college tuition

Do you not see a significant portion of the country is ready to vote in a socialist? And you think the country is moving more conservative?

Btw...I wonder who the tax dodgers Google, Facebook and Apple CEOs are voting for? Conservatives don't have a monopoly on wealth and corporate greed.

    So gays deserve no rights?

When did religions start paying taxes? There really is no such thing as suppression of religious freedoms.

You're against legalized use of Marijuana? Do you smoke or drink? Remember that nicotine and alcohol are drugs too.

When did teaching stop at college campuses?

I believe suppression of alternative viewpoints is a staple of conservatism. That's why most conservatives are against the listed items.

You missed the point. What of those topics above are moving in a conservative direction? The post I responded to claimed the country was moving in a conservative direction and I responded showing that liberals have the momentum in just about every aspect of this country. I wasn't debating the merit of each item. Once the oldest couple generations die off and the government continues to allow open borders to beef up the liberal voting block it will be game...set....match for the liberals.

It is ludicrous to think that the country is moving in a conservative direction.

Teaching at college campuses is clearing liberal. Comedians don't even want to play college campuses because they might infringe on someone's "safe space" of not being challenged with different viewpoints.
