    It's Pence

he just sealed his fate of never becoming POTUS.
No...this is his best chance. If Trump wins (which is probably a 50/50 shot at this point), he'll probably quit after not having the interest/energy in about six months. Then Pence is President. The only way an "I hate the icky gays" guy can get the white house is by coming in as VP.

this fucker wants roe v wade repealed. anyone that is a moderate conservative is not moving towards Trump now, they are moving away. I will go on record saying that I predicted last year there was no way in hell that Trump gets the nom, and that I was wrong about that. Still can't believe it. But I can't in my wildest dreams believe that the majority of the US is dumb enough to elect this fucktard.

The fucked up part is that he doesn't need the majority of the US, he just needs the majority of Florida and PA. I still can't see it. That said, my vote here in Philly will very much count.

I don't feel like choosing a bigotted, bible thumping tea partier was a very good decision for Trump in the long run. Many of his supporters were supporting him because he's a departure from the fucked up Republican wacko colony. Pence is exactly the kind of nut job creep a lot of Republicans are trying to get away from, no? For me, Trump just got much worse. I didn't think that was possible, lol.

From all reports it pretty much came down to Pence, Newt or Christie, so yeah, it was going to be an awful decision whichever way it went.

I think Newt or Christie would have been better (i mean, better from the perspective of making Trump less horrific. Not better from the perspective of Trump failing miserably. From that angle this seems like a great choice, lol). I find the kind of "Christian" extremism that Pence brings to the table more terrifying than any other thing a politician can possibly bring to the table. For me, Trump basically just made himself as terrifying as he possibly could. Pence is even worse that Cruz, and Cruz scared the shit out of me.

:fearful: it shouldn't even be legal for an American Governor to bring that much religion into his politics. This is so fucked up.

Agreed. I hear the fear of Muslim immigrants wanting Sharia law enacted, and I'm of course opposed to that, but then I see this, and wonder what the difference is. Any time religious people can wield a pen and enact laws I'm nervous, since I think religion and reason are antithetical.

Absolutely, and you're right, there is no difference between this and Sharia law. Of course, never ever underestimate the hypocrisy of a very religious person. It knows no bounds.

I made the argument a few weeks ago that Sharia law already exists in this country, but in the form of Halakha for the Jews in places like New York. It was not a well received argument by a few people.
