Eh? Noob? Believe me i aint a noob to queuing for concerts! I may not have been to many Pearl Jam gigs (2) (and i queued for a fair bit for both) but i can remember some queuing for other gigs that was nearly 12 hrs long. :D
if you think people start queuing only when they got the ticket you must be ;)

Ah i see what you mean,
nah see i tried to make it more atractive to myself by saying that its only 1hr45mins. i'm trying to delay the inevitable realisation that I will have to get to the venue early that morning!

Lol, I love PJ dreams, I had one last weekend where they played a tiny outdoor venue... I got sitting up the front, and got talking to Eddie afterwards, but he was 7' tall. Then Mike & Stone came back to my sisters house afterwards and stayed up drinking outside til it was bright.
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!

Awww :o well, it was really vivid when I was going up to Ed to introduce myself afterwards... I was sooooooooooo nervous and just waiting til he was finished talking to some other guy and I was trying to come up with something cool to say and just ended up saying 'I just want to thank you for always being there for me, you may not have known you were but you really were' god, I hope I come up with something better when I really DO meet him, lol. And he was polite and shook my hand and said like 'no problem' or something. I'm not quite sure how Mike and Stone ended up back at the house though but they were great craic. I'm always really intimidated by Ed in PJ dreams though :o

:o oh no... but at least ya met him and he wanted to jam :)

Dreams are fucking weird... like why were we at my SISTERS house anyway? She lives in feckin Cavan... although I'm pretty sure the gig was in the midlands somewhere anyway... like one of those folk festivals but there was about 5 people there and my seat was way at the back. Halfway through, I thought 'there's no reason I can't go sit at the front' :D so I moved... it was just SO real. I woke up feeling really happy, lol.

Finally back from vacation and back on the board. On the flight down to Greece the inflight magazine had an article about Copenhagen, in particular about the city bikes that we've spoken of before. Did you know that 20 % of the bikes disappears every year and that only 4 % are found again? Interesting fact, eh?
And an even more mindblowing fact is that PEARL JAM ROCKS COPENHAGEN A MONTH FROM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have an eye on ebay, have seen 2 auctions on copenhaven tickets, the last one was sold for 400$ for 2 tickets, so thats pretty much what you have to pay if you not find a "fan" who wants to sell

Who is this Christy Moore? And why has he hijacked this thread?

No bad feeling though, since he seems to be the only thing that keeps this thread going.

I'm going to be arriving at Copenhagen airport at five (tight in terms of timing I know but the only flight I can get). What would be the quickest way to get to the venue - metro or taxi?

Thanks to anyone who can advise!

I'm not shure if you would have to change trains. Other more metro-familiar ppl must answer that. But I do know that traffic at that time can be a bitch, so my guess is Metro.....
