New Theory:What if...Kylo Ren choose the Dark Side to help the Light,so he could get close to Snoke, that's why he is so conflicted and feels the temptation of the light side stronger than the dark. That is why he talks to Vader's helmet saying he will finish what he started. Kylo Ren could actually know who Snoke really is,that he was Palpatine's master, who Plapatine was Vader's master.all these master- apprentice relation between Darth Plagueis-Palpatine,Palpatine -Vader had one thing in common, they killed their own master when they least expected.So...Kylo Ren knows about this threat and turned away from his family to do that,TO BECOME A SITH FULLY AND COMPLETELY YOU HAVE TO SACRIFICE SOMEONE YOU LOVE TO DEATH, IN HIS CASE IT WAS HAN!THATS WHY HE TELLS HAN HE FEELS LIKE HE’S BEING TORN APART INSIDE, BECAUSE HE DOESN’T WANT TO DO IT AT ALL,BUT IT’S THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO BECOME A SITH AND COMPLETE HIS TASK!!!!! KYLO LITERALLY UTTER THE WORDS “WILL YOU HELP ME” TO HAN, AND HAN SAYS HE WILL,WHAT HE’S ASKING IS IF HAN WILL DIE IN ORDER FOR HIM TO COMPLETE HIS TASK.THATS WHY IT LOOKED LIKE HE KNEW WHO REY WAS, BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO PROTECT HER THATS WHY HE OFFERS HER TO BE HER TEACHER, HE NEEDS SOMEONE AS POWERFUL AS REY, IT’LL BE LITERALLY THE DARK SIDE AND THE LIGHT SIDE JOINING UP TO DEFEAT ONE ENEMY TOGETHER AS ONE, WHICH IS BASICALLY WHAT THE FORCE IS.
Interesting but there's way too much killing involved in the plan just to take down Snoke. Started with the village on Jaku and then went on to destroy a planet. Gotta think there's a better way.

This was great, thanks for posting. I'll be checking these guys out in the future.
No probs. They have a previous episode going into spoilers and all the questions raised. This breakdown was good but the previous episode was better imo

I don't buy the theory that Rey is a Skywalker or a Solo because I don't believe any of our original trilogy heroes would abandon a child on Jakku. I also don't buy the theory that she is a Kinobi because it would require a drastic departure in character from anything we have seen from Obi-Wan. A secret love? God I hope not.
So who is Rey? Well, consider this. The first thing we see in the Force vision montage is Bespin. Why? She wasn't even alive then. But that was when Luke lost his light saber and also when he lost...his hand. Whoever found the light saber also likely found the hand.
Why is that important? Because this is a galaxy in which cloning exists. There is even an old EU story where Luke's hand is recovered and he is cloned. I think they are riffing on that. Rey was created with Skywalker DNA.
After that...who knows? Maybe she was planted at Luke's Jedi academy. Maybe she was stolen from whoever created her and abandoned on Jakku. Maybe...speculating like this is a lot of fun.
Or even better than cloning: Plagueis/Snoke recovered the hand and used his ability to create life to bring Rey into existence. Just like the theory that he was responsible for Anakin's "divine" birth. Only this time he had the hand to use as a template.

Abrams said this new trilogy is the story of the Skywalker family. Wouldn't make any sense if Rey isn't a Skywalker.

That scene at the start where Kylo uses the force to freeze the laser blast in mid air and when he walks away it continues, how cool would it have been if he could turn that blast around back at the shooter?

Awesome. He made me get emotional talking with emotion about Han Solo's death and Chewie going ape shit. If only JJ was doing the rest of the sequels like he mentioned in his video. I hope they can give these movies to JJ, why change a good formula?

Man, I haven't seen Kevin Smith in a long time. Dude has lost some weight. He can probably size down on the hockey jersey. Goalie cut isn't necessary anymore.
I couldn't see any grave in that scene where Luke is standing looking out to the ocean. I have a theory on how his arm got cut off, I reckon he faced Snoke and came off second best. No way Kylo was strong enough to beat Luke. I reckon Rey's memory was erased (I've never known that to be possible as I've never seen it in previous episodes) as she closes her eyes in that dual with Kylo, you can see in her face memories are flooding back to her, then she goes on and kicks Kylo's ass.

Just watched it today.. I liked it. Reminded me of the original three the way it was done. Brought back good memories as a kid in aww like the first 3 did. I Absolutely fucking hated to see Han go, I had to set my popcorn down after that scene and re-group, but that's what he always wanted so he got it I guess, sucks. Happy to see Star Wars back. Chewy hasn't aged a bit, good for him….

Does anyone think Han sacrificed himself so that Kylo can go to the dark side fully and then kill Snoke? The part how he says he will help Kylo and he even touches his face after being stabbed before falling off the bridge. When I first watched it I thought it was plain murder, but having seen it again I am thinking otherwise.

I was also wondering why Kylo has tears in his eyes when he is facing Rey when she is tied up after being taken captive. Is it because he knows her? His sister or cousin?
My heart was thumping when Han confronted his son, even though I already knew the outcome it was hard to watch as Han is probably my favourite character. Even Chewie had a worried look on his face when he was watching the confrontation, I don't think I've ever seen Chewie look so concerned.
I teared up when Chewie had his head hanged down on the falcon afterwards. I wish they had Leia hug him in the script. :(
