Sorry had to stop reading after the 1st sentence since it's not true. Bern has not won Missouri
No one has won Missouri; still too close to call.

History shows the candidate with the early lead doesn't always win.

The Sanders Speech the media wouldn't show you last night (because looking at an empty podium waiting for Drumpf was so spellbinding)

It's not over. This from Bernie:

"When we started our campaign 10 months ago... I don't think you could find a
single person who would believe you if you said Bernie Sanders would win nine states
by this point in the campaign.

Last night we beat all the polls in almost every state. We earned a significant
number of delegates, and are on track for the nomination. Here's why:

What you will not hear from the political and media establishment is that, based on
the primary and caucus schedule for the rest of the race, this is the high water
mark for the Clinton campaign. Starting today, the map now shifts dramatically in
    our favor.

Arizona, Idaho, and Utah are up next Tuesday. Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington State
caucus the Saturday after. Then it's Wisconsin's turn to vote.

That means we have an extremely good chance to win nearly every state that votes in
the next month. If we continue to stand together, we're just getting started for our
    political revolution."

    Not throwing in the towel!

What states did Bernie do better in on Tuesday than the polls indicated?

I'm troubled by this statement. You don't win the nomination by beating polls. You don't earn delegates by chasing windmills in the media. You need to win states.

Bernie had 5 chances to do that on Tuesday. 0-5. That isn't the fault of the polls or the media.

I appreciate Bernie's honesty more than anything. But reading that statement...for the first time...I have doubts.

    ^^^^ Funny.

As to Bernie staying in, he does have a chance, it's good for Democratics to keep in headlines and it furthers his message. And that lingering Clinton issue.

If the American public are fools for Clinton and trump they are fools flummoxed by polls and media, no doubt.

I agree. "When they own the information...oooh they can bend it all they want"~~John Mayer

The crazy thing to me about the Republicans, not just in Congress but all over the country, is that they had 8 full years of bitching and complaining about Obama and kept claiming how things would be different once they got a Republican in there--yet when the time came for them to choose candidates, they had almost 20 of them to start with?!! How unorganized is that? And then they bitched about Trump getting so far when they let it happen?--craziness. They've had all this time to get their shit together for this election and look what they've done with it.

TBH, I think that suggests that you were ready to turn anyhow, and were just waiting for some reason to do it, because there isn't really anything wrong with that statement at all IMO.

I'm not sure what "turn" is supposed to mean here.

The statement isn't really reflective of reality and that is a problem. The candidate himself said he was going to win Ohio and didn't. Many of us - myself included - had high hopes for Illinois and Missouri, too. None of that came to pass. Pointing fingers at the polls and the media after that disappointing performance rings hollow to me and stinks of dishonesty. We see candidates make excuses all the time but I had higher hopes for Bernie. Like I said the thing that most drew me to Sanders was his honesty. Reading that statement left me feeling disappointed.

I agree, I understand that Bernie is the underdog but he's not as mathematically eliminated as you are hung on him being. I am not going to lay out a path to victory, but there are multiple routes that could get him there. He took Michigan, if he can do that he has a fighting chance.
There is also the baggage Hilary has, if she get's indicted in June you will be glad as he'll that Bernie Sanders stuck it out. He is simply not beaten yet and giving up is just foolish. There is no advantage to the party for him to drop out, Hilary will always be flush with cash and we have the electoral advantage.

Some of you are misunderstanding. I have not called for nor do I expect Sanders to drop out. I dug up the dates yesterday. Hillary didn't drop out until June 7, 2008. Sanders is under no obligation to drop out now.

I didn't mean to say that you think he's under that obligation. I just thought it sounded like you are kind of searching for negatives when it comes to Bernie, so that tiny little things that I would consider meaningless are catching your attention enough for you to at least consider changing your feelings about him as a politician, about his honesty, etc. Maybe I'm wrong - it's just what it sounded like.
