We should have a flag or ban policy for lurkers and late chimers too? Anyone else disagree?
So if I'm understanding this correctly, you want to have some sort of more limiting rules for people who choose not to post or who choose to participate in a discussion they may not have been around for in the beginning? I think one of the main points here is that we are advocates of everyone receiving equal treatment. It is up to the mods to be aware of someone's post history, to an extent, especially if the are a frequent flagger. Just like the person who is the source of many nuisance calls to the police can be charged for wasting resources. So to sum up, no I do not agree with your statement.
Anything you lose from being honest You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
We should have a flag or ban policy for lurkers and late chimers too? Anyone else disagree?
Why do you think that would be necessary?
Lurkers and late chimers drop in with a dust of words. Far worse than an evil troll. If you are in a conversation be in it.
Can you please define what is an adequate amount of participation to not be considered a lurker or late chimer? I do believe that people have other priorities that claim their time outside of the forum and that fluctuates over time. I do not feel that this should limit their ability to contribute to a discussion. I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion, whether I agree with it or not. I do like it if said opinions can be expressed in an insightful, clear and concise manner, but we all fall down on that one so all we can do is strive to be better.

I disagree. If someone is contributing to the conversation in a meaningful way, then when they join the conversation does not matter. As for lurkers, how would you know who was lurking? Maybe they are reading a thread because they are interested in the topic, or they want to see what other people are saying about a topic. So, you think they should be flagged because they choose to just read a thread?

Kind of like same time posters. There should be a ban on that to.

Alright, now I get it.
Will just say, beware trying to take the piss out of people for an extended chuckle or other reason.

Is that the same as saying "don't piss in my ear and tell me its raining"?

I at no time stated that there should be a ban on anything. I would appreciate it if you would read and respond to the whole post and not just pick off what best suits your argument. I would also appreciate if you would not make statements on my behalf based on half truths.
I believe what i said was: I think one of the main points here is that we are advocates of everyone receiving equal treatment. The other part of that statement referred to mods being aware of how much of their resources certain members are taking up and respond accordingly.
