HAHHAHHHAHAHHAHA !!!!! the bigot call ! but.....Neanderthal is new, I would like to politely state that there some people on this forum that are too soft hearted for their own good, the world is not what you've created in this little space called the train all daisy's and sunshine, there are kids in the world that under 14 years old can kill with no remorse, kids that have taken guns to school and killed, in San Diego yesterday 6 schools where locked down because of bomb threats, it might do all some good to understand what kind of caution and even paranoia has been created because of the attacks and threats since 9-11, you all want so bad for everybody to listen and understand your side of the story yet have no interest obviously in understanding anybody else's concerns, and retaliate with childish replies like bigot..... but this is my favorite so far, "...you are a Neanderthal just like two or three others here .... " name calling is always a last act of defiance here on the train and the creativeness is impressive, so carry on you barbarians of political correctness, go and save the world !

These idiots won't learn until it starts costing the town and state money. Fuck these bigot assholes.
And I just saw the chief of police on Chris Hayes actually say that when they held Ahmad in interrogation, Ahmad didn't have the right to his parents or lawyer being there. There is NO WAY that that can possible be legal. Diesnt everyone have the right to remain silent and talk to a lawyer. Tell me I'm not wrong. Is this real? No fucken way that that's the law.
He can get the best lawyer in the nation and he still won't sue. Nothing illegal was done to him. I don't know what the protocols are for detaining a suspect, but it doesn't appear that anything here was done illegally.
I don't know why the anger of this kids parents have anything to do with this. Of course they were angry. Of course they were scared. So what? The question here is did the police do something wrong? I say they didn't.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

Once you have a suspicion of a bomb you don't get "someone else" to check that is not qualified(science teacher)
Bomb squads check for you - no one else can make the determination otherwise once a suspicious device is at the attention.
The only mistake done here is not calling the bomb squad and immediately evacuating.
No ones rights were violated whatsoever.
"Uh, excuse me Mr. Science teacher I feel like this may be a bomb. Can you check it for me"?
Any normal person would say fuck you check it yourself. - or call the police, whatever suits your fancy.
The situation was cleared up, no one was hurt. Now the kid is making international friends at a ferocious pace. Sounds like the poor little offended muslim is doing allright. Good for him.
The suspension should still stand. Rules are rules at school. We all know that. When we are away we trust others with our kids at school.
This outrage is ridiculous, get over it.
By his name
Just the fact that you don't even address him by his name Ahmed is enough to see your bigotry , Poor little offended Muslim this is what you wrote ...you are a Neanderthal just like two or three others here ....PJfanwillneverleave1 said:People need to step back and look at the big picture.

As such... your name calling is off base.
You might not like the perspective PJFan is offering, however I'm not so sure some can say 'his crime was being brown' or 'anyone other than a Muslim wouldn't have been bothered' (to applause no less)... while someone with a counter position suggesting race has been overplayed gets jeered and insulted."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

1) the teachers at the school acted as they should have. again, had this actually been a bomb, they'd be called heros, not idiots or bigots.
2) I can't comment, nor can really any of you to any factual accuracy, that being muslim had anything to do with how he was treated. saying things like "being a muslim in texas" is just as prejudiced as what you are accusing others here of
3) I have no idea why the cops needed to question him for 4 hours after it was found to just be a clock. maybe they thought if he could build this, maybe this was a precursor to him building something more dangerous. who knows. everything being put forth here is pure conjecture.
4) if they were detaining him under the patriot act or whatever it is, they were not lawfully bound to call his parents or give him access to a lawyer. it sucks, but that's the way it is. I don't agree with that law in the slightest, but it's the law and they acted within the confines of it.
5) as a parent, I'd be beyond furious. but there doesn't seem to be any basis for a lawsuit, from what we currently know.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -

They led Ahmed into a room where four other police officers waited. He said an officer he’d never seen before leaned back in his chair and remarked: “Yup. That’s who I thought it was.”

Still waiting on how this "bomb" I mean clock looked like before the police got their hands on it. And still waiting on the reason that the bomb squad WASNT called after they saw the "bomb" I mean clock. 4 fucken hours. At least this didn't happen in Chicago where musky would've salivated to take this brown terrorist on a bumpy ride through the streets.0

They aren't really being ragged on. Nobody has insulted them or called for them to lose their jobs. They have been criticized for holding him for 4 fucking hours of questioning without notifying his parents. Obviously, any parent would be outraged if it was their child, but some people around here refuse to budge an inch where police are involved. Last12 keeps brushing it aside as though it is no big deal, and they did nothing worthy of criticism.rr165892 said:
