Can't help but think that Trump has a good point when he says now "I don't think we need anymore debates, how many times do we have to answer the same godamn questions, let's vote already"?
He is the only one that can say that and actually mean it. News stations are scared the ratings cash cow might be over before election, along with all late night comic shows so it likely won't happen but I think Trump just simply will not attend anymore or very few debates as they are not required as part of the race.

No matter what, Trump can't get out of the spotlight - it truly is remarkable.

His candid impromptu early morning press conferences (9am ET, who does that?) which he receives full CNN coverage - FREE.

This guy can't be stopped and now DR. Carson endorses him, wow.

Trump has a very good point that many people are coming out to vote that not normally would have.

Trump doesn't want to be out of the spotlight. He's having the time of his life (at his supporters expense).

of course he doesn't want any debates.. he doesn't have any reasonable answers. hes a clown... I heard on CCN a few weeks back some talking head say that 'they' laughed at Reagan too. I thought wtf stupid woman Reagan was governor of California before he was president,.. what the fuck is trump besides an egomaniacal douchebag. the shit that comes out of that mans mouth makes me want to slap every man I see. ;)

Yes, I was thinking this morning that perhaps we've all been wrong about the need to increase voter participation. If this is the result, I prefer the days when nobody voted.

^^^^ FYI, the "I'm an American --no" is not my poll vote. It showed up in the post all on its own.

How long will it take before the $20 trillion that we are in debt, catches up to us, and sends our economy in the tank?

    Not very long.

There's a video out on fb somewhere that shows how Trump's estimate for the wall keeps going up. First it was only 4 billion, then 6, then 8, etc. It might well be up to 80 billion by now, haha! Craziness!

I am more concerned this is becoming the Trump Train, than I am of him being President. As of right now, 6 out of the top 11 threads have Trump in the title. Is it really that hard to just post in one of the existing threads? I think our collective IQ is dropping. Why are we lending this clown anymore undeserved credibility by hammering it to death?

Your absolutely right. In fact, seven DT threads on the first page of Train threads. Not to mention all the previous ones that were locked (good!).

Yep, we are eating right out of the man's hands because this is what he wants more than anything- attention. And not just here- it's all over the media too. Elections years such that way. All the other stuff from the most wonderful to the most horrible gets buried under this crap and most of us (me too) get pulled right along. Most of the topics here last year were related to international relations, particularly the middle east, or Fukushima or the Keystone XL pipeline and so forth, and various domestic issues like gay marriage. It's like, "OK, election year. None of that other stuff matters!"

Like him or hate him, Trump has changed the conversation. It's fascinating watching humans reaction. So okay with multiple threads. This boards not seen this much action in a long time.

And freakin Lux is blasting away. Cool calm Lux. Unapologetic. Love it.

    Go Trump.

  • he doesn't want any more debates because the closer it comes to the end, he knows he will come off as the nonsensical nut he is. of course he wants to vote now. he's at the peak. this brussels attack is just came at a good time for him. I think the terrorists know this will galvanize his supporters and they are hoping he will get in and wage the war they are hoping he will....

Will be interesting to see if new people post or the same opinions respond.
Either way Trump is still here long after this thread was started.

I guess I'll change my answer if Bernie runs as an independent. In that case, I think Trump would win the Presidency. Which is, obviously, unfortunate. Bernie is the best person in the entire race.

I doubt he'll run as an independent. He knows that will just cost Hillary the election. Nothing positive could come of him running as an independent. He's already got his name and message out there. Plus he's already sticking around too long.

You're probably right. He's smart and reasonable. Sigh. Such a pity. I'm sad for America. It's really failed itself.

Don't be sad. If Bernie loses the nomination, he has said he's sworn to continue his movement, I'm thinking that as a senator. He's done much good all these years and he will continue to fight the good fight.

As to Drumpf, I still don't think nor am nervous he'll win. He won't.

Get used to it because the world is changing. People are changing. The young are voting for Sanders in huge numbers because they see it happening and understand the need for change. And a few older people like me are glad to see smart young people fighting for that change.
