Not a fan of Ed's version of Imagine. I love greatest hits sets tho (unlike most here) so wouldnt Evenflow be a little more appropriate? Win-win.

Maybe, but i definitely think itll be mainly slow songs. Itll be greatest hits, but Better Man, Black, Sirens instead of Even Flow, Go and Corduroy

I've always said that contentwise "Evenflow" is just Pearl Jam's version of "Aqualung."

But I think they've attained the musicianship by now for an "Aqualung" cover. C'mon guys! Do it!

Special guest appearance by Ron Burgundy on flute!

Expect the setlist to be like MIA Festival

90min-2hr show with mostly greatest hits, few rare songs, ed talking for 5 minutes bout the cause and all
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

this was under the FAQ on global citizen...

What are the set times or order the Artists are playing?
We will not be releasing set times, or the order of Artists. With the amazing lineup, get there early to enjoy the whole show!

    Bullshit
It's not about the music it's about the cause. Just deal with it and go if you want or just watch online at home if you don't want to wait outside.
Awesome. But to me it's about the music. I'd like to know the set times. What's so wrong with that? Lol.

That Even Flow/Aqualung comparison is fantastic!! Never looked at it that way but there's definitely ties. . .well done

holy shit, they moved mexico out of north america?!!!
Haha...good point. I'm just going off the announcement.

We are excited to announce Pearl Jam will headline the Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s historic Central Park on September 26th. It will be the band’s only North American show date for all of 2015.

i wasnt having a dig at you.. its ironic pearl jam is urging us to become "global citizens" while not even knowing mexico is in north america too
it's ironic or just a simple mistake? Some of you really do love to complain or point out something wrong.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

The "North America" comment was just them trying to head off the inevitable questions about Canadian shows.

What annoys me is i emailed Global Citizen for vip 1 prices and they wouldnt tell me, they just said it will appear when the on sale starts. I think thats pretty shitty especially considering how much it will be I was just curious how much more it really is even though I have an idea based off previous years

They do that on purpose. They are attempting to figure out what the demand will be so they can price accordingly. The first year the VIP1 started out at $400 which was a ridiculous steal and by the week of the event they had it up to $1500. Given the lineup this time, i can't see it being cheap but I have no idea.

You really don't see the irony in saying "global citizen" 12 times and then not considering Mexico in North America?

I'm curious as to whether VIP 1 is worth it---open bar plus some food and slightly closer to the stage.....Anyone been there on VIP 1?

I had VIP1 for the first show and I loved it but it's a matter of what you want and whether you want to pay for it. I liked having access to the food and bar and the private bathrooms.

I don't know how they will do it for this particular act especially since all the tickets are GA but Ticketmaster uses "dynamic pricing" on the Platinum tickets. I tried to buy Platinum for a Coldplay show once and they had 2nd row tickets listed for $400. I attempted to purchase those tickets and after a long wait I was taken to a purchase screen and while trying to complete the sale, the transaction timed out. When I went back to the purchase screen I saw the seats were gone so I just assumed they were purchased by someone else. 15 minutes later, the seats were listed back up but were $550 a seat now. If you read their fine print, there is something about pricing can be adjusted based on demand.
