Not sure if this has been asked yet-
Will PJ be the final band on the line up?

Hard to know. The festival's website says they will not be releasing a band lineup schedule (order of bands nor set times) which sucks. If I had to guess tho, I would put my money on beyonce closing it out with PJ before her. She's just bigger in the sense of wider mainstream appeal. I fully expect Jay-z to join her too, as she did with his set last year.

I would have thought Beyonce too until I saw the official line-up released. They all list Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay, in that order. If the order was truly "TBD", they would have listed it in alphabetical.

So at this point I'd be shocked if PJ were NOT the final band, as surprised as I am that they are going this route.

Charity my ass, it's for ticketmaster just getting away with thievery. It's complete bull shit ticketmaster are allowed to stagger tickets and raise them as much as they damn well please at random times. Why should someone pay $225 for VIP3 when 30 minutes before that someone paid $175, does that really honestly make any sense to you?

Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Scored VIP 3 tickets. Got lucky.

Everyone is saying you got to get there early...is that for GA or for the VIP?

Just GA. As a VIP, you already have a set section.

Anyone else just going to try for plain ol' free GA tickets? Can't justify the $$ now, especially as I might have to fly in.
    *raises hand*
I plan on getting the free tickets, showing up late, most likely with friends, and enjoying myself for 3-4 hours. My biggest concern is the weather and the 7 train for this show tbh.

I'd bet Pearl Jam and Coldplay are going to draw larger audiences than Beyonce or Ed Sheeran solely because they've had much less of a live presence this past year or so, meaning people will go further out of their way to see them. I presume since Ten Club was the only fan club granted access to presale tickets that Pearl Jam will be in the primary slot.

with buying a new house I just couldn't justify spending that much money for a two hour set. I'll see everyone in GA.

I am looking for 1 VIP3 ticket for a friend of mine. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Surprisingly, I had no problem with TM - breezed right through w/ a pair for VIP2 @ $175 / per.

Not going to worry about the lineup, just looking forward to seeing PJ in Central Park. (Considering it's only a 3 hour drive and also on a Saturday, I wasn't going to miss this show)

It is kind of f'ed up how the prices started going up. Even if it is for charity....... It's still odd, I've never seen that before.

While Beyonce may very well be the final act, in my opinion you are wrongly assuming she is the bigger act. Yes she has larger record sales, but just last year the big Beyonce/Jayz tour was having lots of trouble selling out. That is why every other act has nothing to do with her brand of music.

I believe she is also part of the charity itself, so I am not trying to lower her worth to the event. She will be fun to see. They are marketing Pearl Jam as the headliner because they know PJ fans will buy tickets.

Kind of what I was saying. Beyonce is huge in her own right but there's evidently a much larger demand for a Pearl Jam show right now, partially due to Beyonce's recent tour.

IF Beyonce were to headline, the place would empty after pearl jam, so that wont happen.

Neil Young was the closer (after Foo Fighters) in 2012. I have never seen 64K people clear out so fast. It could happen.

You're wrong if you think that Ticketmaster has any say over the prices here.

    Promoters probably said:
    X% at $175, Y% at $225, the rest at $250 for VIP 2
    X% at $150, Y% at $175, the rest at $225 for VIP 3
And sell them from least to most expensive.

    To which Ticketmaster responded:
    You bet, boss!

The answer to your question is in my post - and yes, it honestly makes perfect sense.

For those of you that are undecided about seeing Coldplay... They put on a hell of a show and are very good live. But that said, can't wait to see PJ in Central Park. Now gotta book flights and hotel.

Not sure about whether or not the other acts have a fan club, but the fact that Ten Clubbers were given a limited amount of VIP tickets.. that to me tell me that the PJ could definitely be holding the final spot of the night. As far as I know, Ten Club was the only fan club given that courtesy.

Anyone go to the previous years shows? Is it true there's no alcohol for sale except for VIP1, which in IOW, no alcohol for the majority?

I can't justify the VIP cost, especially considering that my 10club membership renewed today, July 10th.

Why wouldn't ticketmaster have any say? They basically control the ticket distribution. You think ticketmaster after all these years of screwing fans over and over they would just say yes boss.? Shit I got a few posters that I'll sell for a quarter if you think that.

Not only is Alcohol overrated, it's also overpriced. Look if people want alcohol, they'll find ways to get it.

Ticketmaster 100% has a say in the price. They control the dynamic pricing for a cut of the proceeds. There are books written on the subject.
