No it wasn't. Sounds like only to those who won GA tix on this tour. They SHOULD email it to everyone. Right now it's still just a rumour. I haven't even seen anyone post an email on the boards or anything. Anyone want to post their email?

Yes, I too would like to see the email sent to everyone. Lots of people buying extras who 10c has no record of. Others enjoying Europe (or standing in their proper place in line, wink wink) without checking email. This should be sent to everyone and made official.
The letter was handed out by what I assume was 10C/Pearl Jam crew to the 10C line in Stockholm. Im so happy this looks like its coming to an end. It has seriously pissed me and many others off all tour! So glad to see this thread (I would have made my own now that I returned from touring)!
This is all about a few people like having authority and "being someone" in the PJ community and saving good spots while not having to do the time in the line. To me these people are going against the spirit of the band, and theyre creating unnecessary tension in a great community of fans.
I told these people at today's Stockholm show exactly what I thought about this whole bs system when I got to the venue. Of course they didnt agree, thats because they were in charge of the list. I later heard that at the Stockholm show there were people getting a number the day before and going for sleep in the hotel. Like WTF?!
The arguments they made for having the list is that otherwise people will cut the line. Who the fuck cuts the line in the 10C queue?? Ive made friends for life in that queue, 99% of us would never do that to a fellow fan! And if there is someone cutting the line, you do the same thing you do in all the other lines you stand in in life, you tell them to go to the back.
I also mentioned to the "list owners" about the 10C email that went out, and they tried to interpret that as it was not at all 10C saying it was a bad thing. These were English speaking people, still obviously they coudlnt understand a simple message from the fan club. Or could it be they think their interests are more important?
I asked what would happen if I didnt want a number and sat down in the queue, could I then tell all the people with numbers coming later that they couldnt go infront of me in the line? No, of couse they were allowed to pass me they said. Isnt that a bit weird. I mean, people can get before me in line because of their unofficial self made queing system?
Another question is how should you know that you need to get a number, and from who? At some of the shows the number guy (or girl) have not been easy to find. So instead of just getting in line, you have to run around looking for some self-proclaimed line manager!
I hope these people realise they created a lot of anger in the community. Oh, and sorry for the long rant, this has just seriously pissed me off!

Really? Because I find it impossible to believe that 10c would threaten to kick people.out of 10c for something they are doing outside a venue. Or that they wouldn't do something good to show people that it's an official statement.

I wouldnt be able to name anyone, and I wouldnt want to anyway. But you recognise the faces after a few shows. These people know who they are, they know many consider them as elitist super fan assholes. I got to tell them what I thought about the whole thing (and I at least gave them a 10 min annoyed rant).
Oh, and the email is true, I saw it myself late this evening, but I didnt get it myself, saw it on a friends phone, so it must have been sent for the people with tickets for the upcoming shows which I dont have. It said the same thing as on the printed paper and said something about "taking this as a serious warning". Im pretty sure that letter is written by 10C.

Would love it like Springsteen. He does this. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND GENERAL ADMISSION PIT LINE 1. On the day of the show, sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 2:00 PM at the gate. Wristbands will be distributed until 5:00 PM. 2. A starting number will be randomly picked at 5:15 PM; this will be announced and displayed on a placard at the gate. No more wristbands will be distributed after 5:00 PM. 3. 5:30 PM - All fans with GA tickets and a wristband should begin lining-up in numerical order, beginning with the announced number. The line will be escorted into the GA Pit Area in front of the stage approximately 10 minutes before the rest of the patrons are allowed to enter the venue. 4. One wristband per patron and the patron must also be in possession of a GA ticket. 5. A wristband and a GA ticket are required to enter the GA Pit Area in front of the stage. 6. The starting number will be drawn randomly at 5:15 PM by a fan. The fan holding the wristband that matches the starting number drawn will be first in line (i.e. if #'s 1 - 100 were issued and number 10 was drawn, the line would start with 10, then 11, 12, 13 through 100 then 1-9). When the starting number is announced, the line will shift accordingly. 7. The purpose of the random number distribution is to insure that all fans have the same chance of being first in line, eliminating the need to camp out. This policy also helps to insure customer safety and provides for an effective means of crowd control. 9. Anyone who receives a numbered wristband between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM has a chance to be first in line to enter the Pit Area, but a wristband does not guarantee a place in the Pit Area. 10. Wristbands will be issued and affixed to the patron’s wrist only after the patron's ticket has been verified a GA ticket. NO WRISTBANDS WILL BE ISSUED AT THE GA PIT ENTRANCE ON THE FLOOR WITHIN THE VENUE. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT NO PATRON, FAN, OR CLUB RUN LIST WILL BE HONORED BY TOUR PERSONNEL, SECURITY OR BUILDING PERSONNEL! The above procedures will be implemented and supervised by touring personnel.
For the fifth time, that system is only used in the US. In Europe, they allow the fan run lists with check-ins and they have been used for over a decade. The list is often started days in advance and check-ins are throughout the day. Generally, there is a check-in at midnight and the next at 6 AM. As I noted earlier, that is clearly where the PJ list people got the idea from.
Yeah, I'm confused now. No one is posting this email. You'd think it would be all over the place by now.... :-?? And the post about Stockholm above.... are you saying that the list was still being used today despite the mysterious letter/email? These people are ignoring it, if it's real? What was everyone else in line saying about this??

I do know that if someone went in front of me I would have none of it. I wouldn't care how many, how pretty, how handsome, or how big you are. If I waited in line and you weren't there then you need not be in front of me.

Take pics of people jumping the line. Post it on FB and Instagram or any social media. Let it be known.
If 10c didn't send out the email, they should consider it. While I still believe that, ultimately, fans should simply be civil to each other, it is disheartening to think 10c would turn a blind eye to the mistreatment of PJ fans, even if it's by other PJ fans. We've all seen Ed stop a show because he didn't like how someone in the pit was behaving, and eject them from the show. The whole list/sharpie shit show is no different. I refuse to believe Ed, or any of the other guys, would condone their shameful behavior just because it doesn't happen right in front of them. I'm sure PJ gets shielded from a lot of crap by 10c and their inner circle, but I'd love to know whether they're aware that many of the super-fans at the rail got there by fucking over their fellow fans.
Yeah, it is curious that this email has not materialized. Hopefully someone at 10c will chime in one way or the other.

That's a picture of a piece of paper that anyone could have made, not an email. Not even any addresses or anything. It looks like it was typed up on Word. I think people are wanting to see an actual email... the whole problem is that normally if something like that were emailed by 10c people would he seeing way more comments about it and getting it forwarded to them by other members, people would be posting screen shots, etc. The fact that that isn't happening here is making us all suspect there was no email. Sorry, lol. Just seems odd.
