yeah guys, anyone that wants to be able to defend themselves is a douche and a nut. and why is that? well duh, obviously if you have a gun and are the victim of a crime, you're just gonna have a panic attack and kill all the innocent people around you while letting the bad guy get away. not only that, but in my hypothetical situations that I make up in my head, the criminal who accosts people never wants to hurt them. he always pats them on their butt and tells them to have a nice day after he accosts them. he only wants to hurt you if you try to defend yourself. duh guys
and I should really be taken seriously calling people nuts and douches because it shows a level of sophistication, maturity and professionalism that you just don't see nowadays.

just for the record, I think it's absolutely appalling that people think it's "hilarious" when other people are victims of crimes, just because they don't agree with you. that is so disturbing.

I don't think its hilarious that a person was a victim of a crime actually. I think what is funny is that many people here and in the USA believe that guns will protect you and here is a story of a person who has a gun for protection who get robbed for his gun. it is kindof ironic.

it goes back to what I have been saying and many other here. if you have 2 people who both have guns, the one who is proactive with their gun will always beat the person who is using their gun react to a situation.

Hilarious. Admonish everyone for their poor tact on the forum, while wielding sarcasm to display the level of sophistication, maturity and professionalism that you just don't see nowadays.

Every gun that rolls off the assembly line is designed for blowing a hole in something. Don't you think there's something inherently wrong with that?

You always make the car analogy. Does the car roll off the assembly line designed to get in a crash?

An 'accident' might occur with a car, but there is no accident with a gun given it's purpose. Every gun death is a result of a gun performing well as per it's intended design.

I don't find death or harmful acts funny but I do find it funny that an open carry guy got his gun stolen. Poetic justice given our nutty gun culture.

wait up, i have been told that open carry is good and will protect people.

all i have to say is that, that responsible gun owner has now let someone who seems to not be a good guy have another gun.

yep....if he was a conceal carry douche rather than a open carry douche he would still have his douchey gun

edit: for the record I am a conceal carry douche. I don't like to advertise my goods...mainly because I believe open carry could get you killed first

Im a conceal carry douche too, although open carry is legal where I live. Im like you Id prefer not to let others around know what I have.

I hope you don't feel like I am attacking you but even with a conceal gun, if a person come to you and has a gun and tries to mug you would you have time to get your gun out and protect yourself?

  • So, my wife's friends husband forgot to lock his SUV a few weeks ago. He just let everyone on facebook know that he was burglarized and his gun was taken from his vehicle. I honestly thought he was one of the responsible ones, having two small children and all.. I guess I was wrong. More guns o nthe streets of south Florida...not that it matters, there are so many already... :/

It makes you wonder how many guns have been stolen from cars?

on another note, why have a gun in a car? just doesn't make sense tome.

In last week 2 of 4 robbers killed during bar robbery by customer and two incidents of home owners killing robbers. One innocent accidentally shot in another incident. Houston.

No point, just interesting. Is lowering overall population so guess guns are good for planet.

And millions go to campaign contributions. Reason for so many chicken hawks. Good for business good for economy. And at this point much more effective than Ebola. As the Esteemed gentleman from Texas so aptly stated "humans are a virus with shoes".

#-o Americas gun violence....always a hot topic thought I'd share this little cut and paste with those of you who think guns should be outlawed for what ever back-asswords reasons you might have.

    Godfather.

The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11. It: "CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT of all UN countries".
By a 53-46 vote - The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution. HOORAY.
This is that brief, glorious moment in history when everyone stands around...reloading.
Now, Which 46 Senators Voted to Destroy Us? Well, let their names become known ! See below .. If you vote in one of the states listed with these 46 "legislators" vote against them.
In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.
Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.
Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N.
    Baldwin (D-WI)
    Baucus (D-MT)
    Bennett (D-CO)
    Blumenthal (D-CT)
    Boxer (D-CA)

    Harkin (D-IA)
    Hirono (D-HI)
    Johnson (D-SD)

    Klobuchar (D-MN)
    Landrieu (D-LA)
    Leahy (D-VT)
    Levin (D-MI)
    McCaskill (D-MO)
    Menendez (D-NJ)
    Merkley (D-OR)
    Mikulski (D-MD)
    Murphy (D-CT)
    Murray (D-WA)

However, the measure voted upon was not the treaty itself, but a non-binding test amendment expressing opposition to the ATT which was tacked onto an unrelated congressional budget resolution. The record of the U.S. Senate Roll Call Vote confirms that all the senators who voted against the amendment were Democrats or independents.

Well that was fun, thanks for playing!

Next time do a little research before copy/pasting the latest "FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: Obama's taking your guns" email from your crazy uncle.

The Obama administration has stated that mandatory conditions for U.S. approval of such an arms trade treaty include the following:
The Second Amendment to the Constitution must be upheld.
There will be no restrictions on civilian possession or trade of firearms otherwise permitted by law or protected by the U.S. Constitution.
There will be no dilution or diminishing of sovereign control over issues involving the private acquisition, ownership, or possession of firearms, which must remain matters of domestic law.

Really says something when the US is the lone dissenting vote on a UN Resolution. Surely your Republican Senators have a good reason for blocking this.

(In 2008), the United States accounted for more than two-thirds of some $55.2 billion in global arms transfer deals. reuters.com/article/2009/10/15/us-arms-usa-treaty-idUSTRE59E0Q920091015

    U.N. Resolution 2117

This is what UN Resolutions 2117 was designed to prevent. But your boys went and f'd it all up. Now they're shooting at us with our own bullets. And will continue to for years to come. Profits win out over safety & security again.

    Oh sweet irony.

The staunch Republicans that so vociferously defend your precious 2nd Amendment are the same ones who are going out of their way to trample all over 1st Amendment Rights:

You wanna gun? Come on down to the show and pick one up!

There's a vast difference between recommending comfortable shoes for a march, and requiring ID at the voting polls. I'm thinking they are probably recommending carrying ID because when a bunch of black people get together and start protesting shit, police get antsy and have a tendency to start arresting/beating/spraying/shooting people. Let's hope we don't see that level of 'enforcement' at the voting polls in a few weeks. But I digress....would you have felt better if they recommended everyone attending the march bring their guns with them instead?
