Yeh what's going on? Heard something kinda about stuff going on at airports?????

Hmm............ and my advice to people coming over: READ THE THREADS. That's what they're there for. :)

20-odd people arrested... odd as in number not personality, although that is true also!!

police have foiled a plot to blow up 10 planes over the skies... 10 fucking planes

and your advice is good... but lets be honest... theres over 8500 posts on this thread... its a daunting read ;)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    grog sounds nice

    Grog
    1 shot rum
    1 teaspoon sugar (preferably superfine)
    Squeeze of lime juice
    Cinnamon stick
    Boiling water
Stir all ingredients, adding enough boiling water to fill mug or glass.

i've always used it as a scottish word for spitting ... so there you go!!!

    I've learnt something new today...

"In the seventeenth century, an early form of rum was known as "rumbustion."

    Rumbustion! Great word!

"Rum aquired the nickname "Nelson's Blood" after Trafalgar (1805). Lord Nelson's body was placed in a barrel of rum for preservation. Legend has it that when the sailor's learned of this, they drank the rum. From that time on, grog was also known as 'Nelson's Blood'."

Dunk I felt I had to add that bit on the Q thread as I didn't want the poor guy to think that was the only response he got :o I remember when I read it I thought about whoever had written the question :(

Can't believe he had taken the effort to submit all those questions and that was the one they picked ...

From what? Lol, considering I dunno what it is, I don't think so

Oooh, the kooks - I love that one song of theirs that they keep playing on the radio... although i'm not sure if it's them or the Arctic monkeys. Someone tell me the words of the chorus or something.

Yeah, I learn that I hate my job even more everyday. I wonder where it will end? Maybe I'll walk into the office with an ouzi 9mm one morning? "Say hello to my little friend!"

hmm. that would depend on what song you're talking about. :p

    Naive:
"I know she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false it may be
She's still out to get me "

She Moves In Her Own Way:
"But uh oh, I love her because
She moves in her own way
But uh oh, she came to my show
Just to hear about my day"

both songs were played a lot in Scotland. :)

I thought it might have been part of your study before your trip to Scotland to help you with the accent :D Although the Edinburgh accent is very different to Weegie.
