pretty bad that they have 5 players that have played at least 10 games that are batting under .200 and Ryan Howard isn't the worst one!!!

    Howard- .167
    Revere-.158
    Sizemore- .136
Utley- .119 (funny thing is it would be worse if it wasn't for that one good game he had where he hit 2 homers)
    Ruf- .107

Pitching's been ok. Least they have a show at splitting the series with the Nats.

yes this team sucks bad but I don't recall ever having a stretch against this type of pitching. it's pretty crazy what they have had to face so far.

Anyone else try for those vedder/townshend tickets over the weekend? I was definitely interested until I pulled two tickets and saw the price was almost $1,100. Those tix were in the second level of a 4,500 seat venue...and that theater is a good 30-40 minute ride outside of chicago (I have been to that crappy toby keith bar that's near the venue for a work event...way out by O'Hare).

I'm all for paying good money for great seats...this one just not in the cards for me. Altogether my MMJ chicago trip -- including concert tix for three shows, flights, and downtown hotel -- cost less than $1,100.

a friend of mine whose friend is a land use attorney told him that the riversharks park in camden was bought out by an unknown company. and there's a rumor that the lakewood team is moving. be pretty cool to have some low minor league phils action right across the river...

why howard is getting ABs instead of franco is beyond comprehension.

this organization is so backasswards in every aspect of how it does things

Phils get extra year of team control by keeping Franco in minors till end of May. He'll be here in June.

End of May? Cubs get Bryant's extra year and he is up. Is that because Franco has already been up?

I don't think franco is going to be anything special but I'd rather see him than howard. then again, I'd rather see ricky jordan at first than have to watch another howard at bat

watched most of the game today. couldn't have been more than 5,000 people there

utley is easily the biggest disappointment so far, as he usually gets off to better starts and you kind of expect the other guys to struggle...he's really had a tough go at it since about june of last year actually.

    still early though
