When Baseball America ranked the top 20 players in each minor league, no team in MLB had more of its players appear on those lists than the Phillies.

    http://www.thegoodphight.com/2015/10/15/9538657/summarizing-bas-league-top-20-lists

good to see that they had players represented at each position other than left handed pitchers as well.

can't wait to see what they do with Ng. Does this organization have the guts to make such a bold move? She is clearly more than well qualified for the position. It's probably time she got a chance with someone to be a gm.

Beyond that - and this'll give Rob something to brag about - also that well crafted Pence trade is finalized with Tommy Joseph being booted from the 40 man.

And even more credit to Rube, Kelly Dugan, who I believe was the Phils 1st pick in '09, also gets outrighted.

Just a strong outing overall in the decision to pick Amaro over Arbuckle...

    http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/10/lenny-dykstra-says-he-hired-a-private-investigator-to-blackmail-mlb-umpires

“I said ‘I need these umpires,’ so what do I do? I just pulled a half-million bucks out and hired a private investigation team. Their blood is just as red as ours. Some of them like women, some of them like men, some of them gamble. Some of them do whatever … It wasn’t a coincidence do you think that I led the league in walks the next two years, was it? Fear does a lot to a man.

‘Hey, so did you cover last night?’ He called a strike. ‘Oh I don’t think you heard me. Did you cover the spread last night?'”

Curt Schilling on ESPN said it's 100% true that he witnessed Lenny doing some of the things mentioned. Lenny is certifiable as a nut job.

PTI brought up some good points though. How did Dykstra get through to the umps without the opposing catcher/team not noticing or hearing anything?

I mean, I am not saying it didn't happen, but I am not sure that Schilling and Dykstra are the two more reliable sources.

yea I totally wouldn't believe Lenny and probably would doubt Schilling some too but seeing Schilling say it convinced me there is at least some truth to it. Schilling said it in a pretty convincing way that he witnessed some of it. You could tell the guys on the set were kind of shocked Schilling said it was true. they kind of just froze after he said it.

Always a good time watching dejection on the faces of Mets fans.

Saturday was a great day. Great wether, GameDay, Breeders Cup, Halloween, Temple Game, baseball game and a shit load of drinking.

not a Temple fan but what a great day for them Saturday other than the last few minutes of the game. Took a ride down to check out GameDay for a bit which was cool but kind of boring after about a half hour. People watching was cool and checking out the signs. Notre Dame people are kinda of weird though.

best signs i saw at GameDay:
Hinkie traded this sign for a 2nd rounder
    Rudy was offsides
    Rudy was a chick flick
    Brian Kelly listens to Nickleback
