My friends are obsessed with the 1 seed...I don't think it's that important since they have a bye anyway. What do you think?
Yeah I mean it'd be nice, but all I cared about was the bye. I've been saying this over and over since this format started - the payoff/reward for being the #1 seed in this sport is not great, juice is definitely not worth the squeeze.
Tho in this situation they have a shot at not only the #1 but also best record in baseball so you get home field in the WS.
I also don't think they should really rest guys, more specifically position players that is - pitchers should definitely nurse those arms. 10 days off is way too long for meaningful ABs.
I believe today's the day for Night 1. I am beyond excited.

There's so many upsets in baseball playoffs nowadays, they could easily still host the NLCS as a 2 seed.
