So on Saturday they were airing all the episodes of our favorite show and I said to Signora Abruzzo "It's a Mare-a-thon". And I was kicked out of the house.

I called my wife Mare the other day when she pulled some sort of local speak out of her ass. Can't recall what it was she said, but she grew up here...spent nearly 20 years in SoCal and has been back since we moved in 2012. Every year she sounds more like someone from this area. I met her after she had been in SoCal for 3 years and she had it strong, then, but worked to try and remove many of the ways she spoke since it stood out so much out there.

My last drunken time with a sales rep was at the four seasons right as all this was starting and my first drunken time "post" all this was with the same sales rep at the same four seasons today. That place rules. Also, walked home from the four seasons to Pennsport. Used to do it a few times a week and my first time in a year plus. I do love this city.
Yeah saw them there in, maybe, '13 ish? Whenever Circuital came out. Maybe before then. Remember a huge rain storm swept through at one point. Hell of a fucking show. Hell of a venue. Gonna try to go to this one too.
MMJ at the Mann, tix onsale tomorrow. Now we're talkin'.
Definitely going to that one. Columbia, MD is doable although it's on a work weeknight.

Been talking about this the last two days. It's been fun to watch. The only possible outcome here is Jean has to sell out his share in the company, otherwise bye bye Tired Hands.

They made him put out a statement saying he was stepping down after he put one out saying he was "stepping down for a bit." So hopefully that's in the works.
Was planning on making a trip out there to stock up this week. Looks like they are closed today.

Yeah, he put out like a half-apology signing it as "ceo/brewer/the janitor" or something, which he also took flack. And the best part of the non-half-apology is that he doesn't acknowledge any of it nor deny it. So that tells me a lot, and the last thing TH put out is he's stepping away from day to day ops. Which I don't know what that serves, while also saying his wife has been not there since March or something, since they're still the ones gaining the profits. Only way I see this playing out is that the dude has to leave altogether. Something like this happened around here at a restaurant called Hungry Pigeon. The chef, Scott, made a huge apology about some dumb stuff and treating employees like shit, and that wasn't enough. Employees were like nahhhh. So he had to sell out his part in the company and they changed the name of the place.
I think TH can get away with keeping their name, but only if Jean is out entirely. Otherwise I could see something like the artist dude who does their cans quitting/boycotting which then hurts the brand/business, etc.
It's decent enough beer, but there's plenty of places around here just as good to the point that I don't need to give them my money. Anyway, not gonna lie, kind of fun to watch the craft brew industry get this kind of shellacking.
Apparently Lollapalooza announced they are on for this year and the same people who run that run the thing in Asbury Park. So, only a matter of time before that is announced
Well I got a client I'm doing a mortgage for who's son is in marketing or something for the company who puts on these festivals. She keeps telling me she's so happy with what I'm doing for her that she'll have her son get me tix and get me into the meet and greet with Ed and the guys, if they're still doing those post(lol) pandemic.
Putting the odds of her coming through on this below 25% but, hey, it's something! She actually brought it up today though out of nowhere. So, we'll see

Damn. You must give some good mortgage work. Is your jaw sore?

Well, it just reached my threshold for a show’s greatness.

I'm something....
I love them. (And have been one/managed them in some capacity for most of my life!)
Glad you were able to get out.
Are they working on a new album?

Anybody see the Riot Fest lineup? That one looks reeeeealllly good. If I have a 'take it's that Chicago has the best festivals.
