Damn, we go to the Poconos every Thanksgiving weekend. I'm only 7min from there, how long has that been open? Better yet, how's the beer?
one of the organizers says they picked the place cause they had good beer and they are PJ fans. I never been there. I think they are gonna try another meetup early next year though.

So a casino down by the stadiums? Sounds awful. At least it's not center city

I always thought there should have been one down there BUT this market is tapped out right now and adding a 2nd casino in Philly is just not a good idea. it's already a saturated market.

HA. This is EXACTLY what I think of anytime a casino opens around here.

I'm pretty sure we went over this before, but the Valley Forge one looks just like this.

Anyway, I'm sure this one will be only a little less pathetic than Sugarhouse when games are going on down there. This will also most likely kill off Harrah's and/or Sugarhouse.

The only thing I ever wanted was for Bar Mall to become a sportsbook because that's exactly what it looks like inside.

say what you want about the r6, but this story about his family is pretty fucking sad...especially because of how close they all seemingly were in the early part of his career.

Yeah, pretty sad. Then again, never have your brother/family handle your shit - especially when they have no experience. So that's on Howard.

The most atrocious part is where you read the testimony/or whatever it's called about how people got paid, and especially how is dad is supposed to be this patriarch and automatically get $5 million dollars. Insane.

So now Paul Hagen is saying Phils have soured on Tomas, and then Stark says Phils are going after this guy hard.

    Just fucking sign the guy.

isn't it a little suspect that all the big boys were out of this sweepstakes? seems like there has to be a reason for that. 6 for $68 million is really not all that much. per year we gave Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez more.

Jose Abreu got that dollar amount and all the big boys were out on that as well

glad they didn't sign tomas. need a complete rebuilt, hinkie style. tomas doesn't help them at all.

as for howard's finances...never thought he'd have bigger issues than his swing, defense, or weight (or marrying jeff carter's sloppy seconds). good to know he is consistently terrible at everything, two more years and counting. getting rid of obama and howard in the same year will be grounds for a huge party

Pretty cool place that Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing Company is. I only had the 1916 IPA. Pretty good turnout. I think there were about 15 people or so.

Per year we did not give MAG more. He got something like 12 or 13 over 3 or 4 years.

i don't care what they pay and you totally missed my point. the point i was making was maybe Tomas wasn't nearly as good as people originally thought he was whey they were saying he would get a $100 million. big difference from original estimates of $100 million to end up with 'only' 68 million.

i thought he got $12 per year for 5 years but looking at least year's salary he only got $3.66 million so I am totally wiffed on that one.
