I was shocked that when I got fucking soaked for Tee Ball gear for the little one at Dick's Sporting Goods on Sunday that they didn't have Harper stuff out yet. I'm betting the shipment arrives Tuesday. (And I would have bought the four year old a few shirts, I'm sure.)
so Sam Hinkie tweeted to try to sell his house to Bryce Harper. what does he get back in a house sale? rights to two future couches and he will take on the cost of lawn care?

I know there's a movie thread but whatever. A Star Is Born....am I, uh...wrong....or was it actually really good? I thought it was a chick movie going in but I really liked it. I hadn't seen any of the originals so I had no clue about the story/ending.
haha, the wife is back. These are true sober feelings. Star is born is good and bohemian rhapsody is not.
Funny thing is a buddy of mine gave the opposite response to Star is Born - he thought it was a Lifetime movie. I can't speak to either movie. I think the only Oscar nominated movies I saw this year were A Quiet Place, Blackkklansman, Black Panther, Free Solo and Three Identical Strangers. I might watch Roma at some point if the wife isn't asleep by 7:30.

Hm. Interesting. I go the opposite way. Thought it was going to be lifetime and was very good. That said, Coopers accent or whatever it was was garbage, and she was better than him overall.
I like when he called her ugly too. That was funny. I guess I had absolutely no interest in it, heard a few good things, gave it a go and was very pleasantly surprised. I did not know it ended like that either and did not expect that until about 5-10 minutes before.
Is Free Solo any different than the 952 other things on Alex Honnold? I am interested in it but don't feel like wasting my time if it's just an extended 60 minutes segment on him.

I don’t always agree with bill simmons, in fact I rarely do, but I’m about to go ride or die on this one. Listened to a little bit of this on my way home last night and the premise is that a star is born is very good and BR is not, along with malek
I think the plan they shared was for him to play Friday or Saturday in first game, if he was ready. (Whatever that means)
Did not see Free Solo but have heard good things. Have not watched many of the pieces on this dude so I am down to watch whenever it is around.
I was thinking of the Fergie/Pants Pissing scene from A Star Is Born this morning and laughing, still. So fucking funny. Hearing his impression of Sam Elliott while he pisses himself is great stuff.
I could walk around all day alternating between Bale's Batman and Cooper's Jack and make myself laugh continually.
