Returned my Sennheiser Momentums and bought the NAD VISO HP50s.... WOW! Incredible headphones.... Not as harsh as my ATH-M50s and not as muffled as the Momentums... Highly Recommend!

How'd you return them? Most places don't accept open headphones, i tried at futureshop and they said no.
Never buy anything from anywhere other than Amazon if you are even thinking of returning them.

Just bought them from FS because they were $100 cheaper. I like them though , bought the HD 598 from Amazon for $113 too.
Need to grow some more ears.

Well, received the early bird Black Pono Player today. Small custom box. On the UPS slip it said .. Total Value For Duty .. $454.40. So .. I had to pay $105.78 for customs. Totally gutted. The early bird Black Pono Player was $215 shipped to Canada. They put $454.40 on the custom form. I sent them an email & soon a scan of the paying slip. Doubt they will do anything about it. Totally blows! :(

Why in God's name do companies use UPS for shipping international packages? WHY? Please DO NOT use UPS!! I'm begging you. If you are shipping anything internationally, never in your LIFE use UPS.

    D,
Never pay UPS, all you have to do is get the tracking number and a copy of what you paid and bring it to a boarder agency office and self clear it. The most you should have paid was $25.

According to their address verification page, no one's put my PJ Pono together yet!
"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

That's garbage! I only had to pay $60 in UPS/Customs Fees for the PJ one, and I'm in Vancouver. Guessing your province has an HST as opposed to just the PST which we only have now on such items in BC?

My Pono locked up last night while transferring music. I can't get past the "pono" screen when turning it on. I can only turn it on/off by holding down the o button. When it did work, it sounded awesome.

That's ridiculous on the customs declaration.

Recall a similar experience with the Munk one site and never ordered anything from there since. Bought two posters at $110 (Chicago Ed Ved both nights with same numbers) and it was declared at $350 for god knows what reason and took a good $95 equivalent hit. emailed the site and got no reply.......pretty shitty, and whilst for now they wont give a monkeys I don't buy from there anymore, who knows one day they might.

I think that is the reason CDs were made to be 44.1kHz. Isnt that about the top end of human hearing?

I have been having a horrible experience with the Pono customer service :-( Due to the customs issue of sending bamboo to Israel, I decided to try to have the player sent to my sister in Hawaii while my mother was recently visiting there. When I realized that the package would not arrive to Hawaii on time, I changed the address back to Israel. I did all of this on the phone with the same representative (Laura) and she verified that my address was updated. A couple of days later I got my shipping conformation and it turns out that the player was being sent to Hawaii (My mother has since returned to Israel...)! After speaking again with Laura, she said that there was nothing she could do until there was a failed shipping attempt! I called UPS and had the delivery stopped, but they said that only the shipper could recall the [package. Called pono customer service again and Laura said she would take care of it. A few hours later I got an update that the package was being sent back to the pono warehouse.
As of now, I have no idea when I will get the player...... Total fuck up!
Still can't believe I met Mike Mccready at the Guggenheim and got a pic with him!!!!!

I got a shipping change confirmation too and then they sent it to my old address anyway.
luckily I called UPS and they held it for me. I live in the same city so it wasn't too much of a problem.
They need to get that shit fixed.

Humans can't hear frequencies above 20 kHz. The sampling rate for CDs is set at just over double that to ensure that it captures frequencies up to, and including, 20 kHz.
