This is no different than the Wrigley posters that went on sale thru the newsletter, I didn't get it til later that day and they were sold out!! I was bummed out!!
Newsletters? I get those 2 to 3 hours after everyone else does (once, I received the newsletter 8 hours later, and that was when the first edition Blu-ray Box Set of PJ20 went on sale). All I know is to keep an eye out here @ the 10club store @ 1pm ET every Tuesday's & on whenever the 10th day of the month falls. That's pretty much it. I see folks post events & info about from the newsletters, and I haven't even received it yet. Sometimes they do random goodie drops out of the dark that we won't know. With today's social media, it's best to sign up on a Twitter or Facebook for all your LIVE PJ treats when they go up for sale. Or have a few friends close on BBM/WhatsApp to check things out.
For limited sales like this, it would be really cool if the Ten Club had a twitter account and made the announcement that way. Email takes time for some people to receive.
I don't know if you guys are familiar with Mondo and their VERY limited movie posters, but they announce on twitter when the next poster goes on sale. Everyone has an equal chance AND you can set twitter to text you selective tweets (you'll receive a text when a particular user tweets).

Just a suggestion.
Mondo has their issues too (such as yesterday and I'm sure you've seen that thread), never going to satisfy the masses.

No of course you'll never satisfy everyone but at least their way of selling very limited items (several hundred) seems to level the playing field better than most other techniques.
Fastest finger first. A store has it listed on music stack $39 special order. Another long shot as they wont want to sell once these start selling for $100+ on ebay.
1) I don't think the twitter thing would work either (except for people to follow twitter 24/7).
2) The solution might be to make them limited, but not so limited they sell out in 3 hours?
3) Is this a good sign that there starting to show up on various websites (amazon and now musicstack). Sounds like some copies may be going to retail? IE amazon (and whatever company is selling on musicstack) has to be seeing this release on order sheets somewhere? IE it must have an SKU, which to me must indicate its not entirely internal to 10c?
It creates a bit of hope that maybe some copies will go to retailer and there might a slim change that those of us missed out on them. Sort of like that time Into the Wild went on sale and that one store got copies somehow.
I guess I run into the problem where I leave Data turned off on my phone unless I actually need internet access. It seems to keep my cap more under control, and it really helps out with the battery drain....
I'm more likely to read the email than stumble into the twitter update. Then again I went 8 hours without checking my email the other day and I missed out.. lol.
then itll be "I wasnt near a computer" or "I was sleeping"
the only answer is for 10 club to wire it directly into our brains, and immediately when something goes on sale, telepathically prompt us with a choice whether or not to buy in 14 languages.
Then a lottery for those who answered yes, to get entered into another lottery to determine who gets to F5 for a chance to buy

How? So the people that get the tweets/texts are one step ahead of the game. If you're out of cell service/away from a computer etc. you still can't buy them so I don't see how it helps.
In the end there's limited numbers so not everyone will get one, (some of) the ones that don't will complain. That's life. The only solution is not to offer limited items and I don't think that's a very good option. Sometimes even this (or made to order) won't work, because as soon as the item is no longer available (everything goes out of print eventually) then someone will complain.

thanks I placed my order and about an hour later I got an email to pay and I did thanks again!

hope it works out, quite often sellers cancel items nearer the release date though so be warned. this has happened to me with some rsd items but then some worked out as well.
hmm...ive pre-ordered one from both amazon.com and amazon japan...not sure whether or not to pull the trigger on this too. Charged immediately unlike amazon where only charged at time of shipment.

"To be the man, you gotta beat the man! WOOOOOOOOO!!"
I bought one from 10c during the sale. Question however: was I the only one who felt stupid, silly, and guilty that I had just spent $63 on 6 7" vinyls of a so-so record that they already had copies of?!?
It wasn't until it sold out quick that I thought maybe I made a good move... Something about this whole situation makes me feel that this item is a real piece of shit. I don't know why but my feeling for some reason is that they only produced a few of them because they didn't think anyone would want it! Something tells me that this isnt the Benny Hall vinyl people are acting like it is. Get yerselves together- it's lightning bolt, people, remember? Lightning Bolt!
So chill out everyone who's crazy angry about it, definitely don't be sending your $ through random websites all around the globe for this thing, you're crazed and not thinking straight. It's lightning bolt.
Who knows, I guess I'll see once I get it, but again, my first reaction was to not tell my girlfriend what I had just purchased because I already have the damn LP! And yes , to everyone who will say something angry back to my post, I do play my records, and no, you won't see my copy on eBay.

it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

You're under the assumption that everyone feels the same about LB as you do, I happen to think its much more than "so so" and also I just became a fan in 08 and I didn't really like backspacer so this was the first release I was a part of they I really enjoyed, so it means a lot to me.
I get what you're saying though, I would have been a little more hesitant if I already had the LP but I don't, didn't have any money during the pre order and now I've been afraid to buy it cus of all the problems.

Twitter can be nice because you don't have to follow 24/7, most smartphones will send you notifications from people you want.
Of course, you still have to have your phone around!
