Sorry Mike, but KISS makes me drowsy. Pretty much tons of "popular" classic rock, like Boston. Steve Miller Band. I guess repetition drives me crazy.

Oh, and I'd love to fight Billy Joel for reals.

I saw Phish once. They were decent background music. From what I saw of my friends, they were sort of the next available thing when Jerry died and they're force-feeding the music to themselves to have the culture. But they suck.

    Does Bruce Springsteen count?

And just for the record, while I I tossed Soundgarden out as a response to the OP, I never said anything about "hate" as a previous poster mentioned. Not really caring for a band and hating/despising are two pretty clearly different things.

Also Mumford and sons. They are way to over dramatic for me.
And I agree with radio head ....blah
I swore I had a fifteen minute version if Suzy Greenberg.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

In general it's not a long jam song. There are a few exceptions.

I m not trying to be a dick here but how long is a long jam in the eyes if phish fans? Twenty minutes?
Like would slave to the traffic light be a long jam and chalk dust torture just an extended solo?

    to everyone who said radiohead,

i'm afraid we can't be friends
well, at risk of never ever never ever being friends with you, my numero uno in this topic is Radiohead. I never understood how these guys were so liked. Where pearl jams music creates eargasms, radioheads music simply makes my ears bleed.

Phish is number 2. Just horrible.
    Then coldplay. Weird

Depends on the song. I wouldn't bat an eye at a 15 minute Ghost or YEM, but a 15 minute Chalkdust or Julius would certainly pick my curiosity (and they have happened before).

  • Dave Matthews Band. I tried to like them-even watched a concert dvd I borrowed from the library. Couldn't stand the sound of his voice though.

Interesting Post - There are plenty of bands I don't get the appeal of. Plenty many of you have mentioned I really enjoy, that's the amazing diversity of this fan base.

But, the Point of the Thread.

Tres Mts. - I tried, I really did, Just can not get into it.
    Brad - Again, I Tried...
