Please, for me, listen to the entire "Sticky Fingers" album by the Stones.. I wasn't a fan either until I spun this one.. it is very good..

I've got friends who are really into these bands, but I just can't do it.

I suppose I "get" pretty much everything. Good music is easy to listen to, even if it's not your style.

U2 maybe? I think I'd rather see Coldplay, which is saying a lot. Both talented groups, but not my thing.
Blur is really big in the UK - I've never liked them. But then there is a lot of stuff that is big here that sucks.
I'm not much of a Phish fan but I do get the appeal.

Considering the fact that I like Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Biggie, and plenty of other hip hop artists, I'd say it's strange that I don't like Jay Z.

    Ummm...

    OOOHHH, Van Halen!

This could be the best and paradoxically the most infuriating post ever. I can't belive there are people amongst us who hate AC/DC and Soundgarden, especially the latter, being kindred spirits :fp:

    Dave Matthews Band.

    I just don't get it.

    Also, Foo Fighters.

  • I agree on Muse. Phish i get but also see how some wouldn't. Also foo and rhcp could add to my list but there was a time i liked them both.

  • my morning jacket (even been dragged to some shows and still don't get)
widespread panic (same as above, i was even on psilocin pills, still didn't help)

agree with OP on radiohead (except the bends, i *love* it)
and Arcade Fire (even bought some albums a long time ago)

band of horses (okay, i *kinda* get)

lot of the slower new rock \ newgazer stuff has had me baffled and confused.

    avett brothers.

    :/ not cool enough :/
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

As I said, a very polarising post...but to not like Cornell's voice...as in all art and walks of life, beauty is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder...personally I find Cornell, as well as Paul Rodgers to be the two greatest voices in the history of ROCK, especially The Rock God that is Cornell...such is life, and this is why we are on a forum...to discuss

    Kings of Leon,
    Muse
    Arcade Fire
    Anything hip hop or Rap
    Radio Head after Pablo Honey

All have some songs I really like, but I just can't get into them no matter how much I try.
