    Hey Whynotsweden/Tobias (?). Very cool!
I think might actually have remembered you and your yellow shirt from outside the Forum last year. And since that was in Denmark it could explain the mix up. But very cool you got to request a song and nice looking setlist too!

Yes that's correct, we talked about that in the elevator and that's why he got me for Danish, Chris Chelious might get a laugh out of it....I did wear the Swedish National team hockey jersey at the elevator & show.

Thought the show was legendary. I've seen them 46 times and this was top 10 for me. Energy level was insane and the band were having a ball (literally if you've seen the clips of the fun they had with their new lights).

    3 slow song opener!
Great, altered versions of Corduroy and Daughter
    Face-melting debut of MYM
    Alone AND Brain of J
Very emotional "Man of the Hour"-looked like Mike was a bit choked up on this song
In Hiding sing-along that you could probably hear in Toronto

Sure, the band played for 2:45 and 30 songs-nothing different from a typical PJ show. But, you know, THEY PLAYED FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS!!!! Forget about the hype and the "evening with" label and enjoy the moment. This was a terrific show!
  • I'm the one from "Denmark" he got that mixed up. What a show, meet Eddie & Chris Chelios in the elevator at the hotel this morning, got a request granted and hi did it for me. Pointed me out on fourth row I ended up on the big screens unbelievable. Think I'm going to die.. Lol
What a show for you!!! Thanks for making the trip to Ontario/Canada. It was awesome, wasn't it?!

sorry but i have to say the performance was great as ed was in very fine form, but it was hyped an evening with pearl jam and with the amount of fan club members in attendance i was really expecting a set list containing more rarities and songs not played often. it was a real opportunity to do so. that would have been special. 2 gems alone and parachutes. lots of every tour regulars. just thought too many.

Was also expecting a rarities-filles set, but putting this aside, we came close to a perfect show. Let's remember that come October, the setlists will include 6-7+ songs from Lightning Bolt, so less chances to hear songs such as In Hiding and Brain of J. Highlights definitely Alone and Parachutes for me. Any time you get to hear 30 songs with classic songs being performed in new versions, plus Present Tense as an opener, you know you were part of something special.

I thought show was just outstanding.

Ed owned it. They all did, but so much of it depends on him inevitably as front man and he was in great form.

PT is such a great opener, and following with nothingman brilliant

I don't send how anyone can complain about not enough rarities w/ in hiding, alone, parachutes, sad, smile. For me to get Parachutes & In Hiding was extraordinary. (he did flub the words to parachutes, btw)
That having been said I did think Ed hyped them a little too much, for example building up before I Got Shit like he was about to do something unprecedented and feeding the unrealistic expectations

Great crowd energy, great band energy, great small venue, great setlist with some really cool twists even if yes, at times it fell into a somewhat predictable pattern too. I think it's in my top five shows.

Great show last night. 5th row Mike's side, 3 seats away from the middle aisle. The temperature in the building was hot as hell and the band was tearing it up. They all seemed to be in sync, which really made the quieter songs stand out (Parachutes was flawless) and made the louder songs pop. The reworked Corduroy works well, and Alone wasn't received with great enthusiasm but executed perfectly. I was glad to hear Brain of J again because the band tripped over the song at the '11 Hamilton show. Mike took a little while to warm up, but towards the middle and end he was on fire (no surprise) - I caught one of his pics. As the band was taking the stage for Smile, a guy front row center was motioning to Ed as if to say "look - they (Jeff & Stone) have switched places?! OMG!!!" and Ed just laughs at him and says "Yeah - I know!"

    Looking forward to Wrigley GA.

Edit: Mind Your Manners sounds great live!

I am slightly heartbroken that they played Parachutes and Smile AND Alone AND Sad, since it's unlikely that they'll play those again Friday. Oh well, maybe next time.

I couldn't figure out the lights on top of the stage. Just looked like random squiggles from where I was sitting on the floor. Was it spelling something?
