    Hmmm...well maybe I comprehend what you're saying.

London had a longer setlist, a full-house fans, some pearls in the show
but I have to admit that Katowice was a little special BECAUSE its imperfection.
Still didn't understand the reason of this mid-failure (lol) but the sensation it is that it was a real event.
And the setlist was very very aggressive (more than london)

I always felt that the band doesn't feel too comfortable playing for a hardcore fans. Wembley vs. Chorzow is like playing for a old friends vs. playing for a huge, hungry for music, unpredictable crowd. Different kind of emotions.
Also, the expectations before the Wembley gig raised so high... and after all Pearl Jam didn't play a really rare song. So I was not surprised when someone told me that from three 2007 shows he have been to (Munich, Chorzow, London) the worst one was Wembley.
Of course it's all about personal preferences/feelings/experiences. It's hard to me to compare the shows I've been too... Lisbon 2006 was great, Katowice 2000 was great, but which one was better? Can't tell. For sure I would not say that someone have to go to a doctor if he doesn't agree about the show :P

Yeah, those kids were really annoying..

    They should've made it 18+ show (or 150 cm above :D )

London setlist with Chorzow climate??? That crowd would prolly have to be either crazy or not PJ fans...I mean, come on...I was at all shows mentioned above.

Anyways, Im glad you found my friend. i couldnt believe you guys found each other for the ticket. they told me it worked. made me happy, cause i was already too stressed out that day.

    Hello Everybody!

Magdyl! You've got gorgeus pictures. Unfortunatelly I had to go out from the crowd, because I was almost killed by the teens. So I couldn't make pictures, just one video, but it isn't very good, there is one voice i can here while I'm watching it, it is mine;).

    (sorry, my english is bad)

At one moment behind me there was an alien aged 14/15 that was all the time with the camera filming the crap on stage, no expression in his face. Quite impressing.
Then two girls (maximum 14) that tried all the time to grab one each other to get higher and see their idols. Reminded me Laurel & Hardy.
In 5 meters, some babies that tried to mosh simply pushing someone onto another one (god, I really missed the REAL moshpit of the ol' good 90's)
Then a girl that send a message in his mobile, using the entire 10 fingers (maybe also an eleventh one)

    please don't mention them anymore.
LP and their fans really really sucked.

Haha yea. I just laughed when chester said "Linkin Park's gotta have the best fans in the world...".

Especially considering the amount of PJ fans in the audience.. C'mon man, do your homework..

Yeah, it would be great if they added this but.. Maybe they wouldn't play Indifference? Maybe there would be no improvisation b4 daughter?

Hmm.. I still consider it a great show...

If they played release I would be veeeery veeeery happy... Release as opener and Indifference in the end - it would be the best I could ever imagine..

Maybe next time they will play longer instead? (3 hours? :D)

Haha. Although I'm moving to Holland next year I would be back if they would be playing for 3 hours to make up for lost time xD I don't care that much for release (RVM was awesome as an opening) but I would've killed for Alone.. f*cking LP...

    now...

i know a lot of PJ fans were disappointed with the short setlist, the Linkin Park fans, not to mention that hellish 18-hour bus ride from München over the Polish border...

    but....

    what a show!

yes Linkin Park did have a rather long set and we were so exhausted from the bus ride that i kept falling asleep standing up.

Thank You Sid for buying me that fake Polish Red Bull energy drink....

but in the immortal words of Jason from Touring Van 2000 fame, "Fuck it! let's go get drunk in the biergarten before the show and just have a good time". Yay for POLSKA!!

last year i had such an awful time in Berlin 2006 due to wanting to be on the rail all the, lusting for guitar picks, and what i call "poster angst"...

that i forgot to enjoy the incredible music around me and share it with the sweaty smelly fans around me!!

i felt SO let down after that last tour, really felt like i wasted a bunch of money and energy unjustifiably...

harsh truth is i almost gave up touring for this band, but München 2007 was positive that i made the right decision, and Katowice show only served to confirm it...

i mean c'mon! SOLAT und Spin the Black Circle back to back?!?!

fucking killer!! those are my favorite two PJ songs!!

Hail Hail, I Am Mine, Lukin, COMATOSE!!, Nothingman, Leatherman, ABITW pt. 2 tag, awesome version of Jeremy, und Indifference!!!

the setlist was short....but the energy, the fans singing along, the tangible smile on my sweaty face, the MAGIC was there!!!

thats what i missed so much from my days back in the Euro 2000 tour. just singing out to my favorite band, smiling and laughing like crazy, looking out for my friends in the pit so we were not seperated...i never even got bored!!

for those fans who braved the rail and Linkin Park's long set. i SALUTE you becasue i have been there with the bruises and guitar picks to prove it. but sometimes, personally for me the best PJ shows are the ones where you are not overtly concerned or stressed about being up front all the time.

since i am one of the shortest people on this PJ tour, i know how to work my way up to Mikey or Stoney side without HURTING people. it just takes a little effort and patience to get a really great view!!

see you all in London 2007!!

I'm just catching up with my reading :)
I think I know who you are... not sure. I was on the bus too (hello bus people..I slept most of the time!)
I agree with everything you're saying. I've cracked bones at PJ shows, I've been battered and bruised, and cried unhappy tears.. caught the picks, had the Mike 'thing', had the Jeff experience, met the band - lucky me, I know... but now it's always been about appreciating the music. Meeting friends along the way, losing myself in a song... this aint going to last forever. I try my best to appreciate the best in every show I've been to. Of course I can bitch and moan, but it's usually very little to do with the band. It's clear there were logistical problems, and man that's frustrating. But lessons learned, no less.

I thought this Polish show - albiet not one of my favourites - was a gem in it's own right. How will I ever forget this? Crazy crowds, of course, and I've rarely wanted to scream at such angelic little girlie faces as much as I did there, but Christ... I'll never forget this moment of pure beauty..closed my eyes and just listened. I looked over to my friend and he mouthed 'wow'. That was my highlight. Why I go. Every night something makes me shudder - like I'm having some kind of outer body experience. Of my shows on this tour, I'd maybe rank it at the bottom, but I will never forget it.

that doesn't justify anything. Did I have to remind about Rosklide?

HI Tomek, I've not said this to anyone else, but I had a moment where I said to my friend I had to leave because I had flashbacks to Roskilde. I've NEVER had that before..ever. The compression on my chest, and lack of control over where I could put my body - albiet for a short time - was enough to scare me. Perhaps it was also the outdoor show.. and the fact that I couldnt see anything. THankfully this didnt tarnish my experience.
