About to jump on a train to the best place on earth. 4 shows in 5 nights, then baltimore as an encore.

Have seen them so many times, but excited to see them in 3 venues for first time...Barclays, First Mariner, and Wells Fargo (just realized this the other day...could not believe it).

Yeah I'm happy about this being in the new Barclays place. Been to MSG more than enough times.

This weekend starts a hell of a stretch. Bachelor party part 2.0 this weekend, couple shows, getting married, then Hawaii. I'm gonna be broke

Because its the best arena in the country. Msg takes massive dumps on barclays

Also, fat adult mfers from philly need to stop wearing jerseys. Saw some tiny bastard wearing an erving tank top over a red t.

Ridiculously bad. Stop being ass holes. Who wears a hoops jersey in public???

Not saying I was sick of MSG. But I've seen everything from PJ to Michael Jordan (I was at the 55 point game in 1995) to Hulk Hogan to Paul McCartney to the Globetrotters to everybody else you can see at MSG. Last night at Barclays was a nice change of pace. Wouldn't go there for anyone but PJ though.

as much as I hate the Red Sox was cool to see Victorino hit that grand slam. Always a great guy here. good to see him do well. not sure I can watch the World Series since I hate both of them.

Off till Thursday. Sweet. Loving that I don't have to drive to shit for these shows.

Time to pick up the beer and rolling papers.

My body hates me. My liver definitely fucking hates me. Every bartender I encountered this weekend likely hates me. My back account hates me.

But I just got really fucking pumped for the next couple nights

Not my favorite show, didn't have nearly the energy of the first night but regardless, the worst night of pearl jam, which it surely wasn't, is better than anything else

Parachutes and come back were all kinds of awesome though. Aside from oceans, I think I may have seen all my slow songs in 2 nights; long road, man of the hour, off he goes and then those tonight

probably the only thing everyone in the philly sports threads agree on. thought Monday night was much better than Tuesday though. give Monday a 9/10 and Tuesday a 7/10. little surprised at the few non-Lightning Bolt repeats last night. still fucking great though.

I loved the Avocado love last night. Thought it was an amazing version of Come Back.

Like an idiot I didn't think to turn on WMMR on the way home. :fp:

that was the most i have listened to mmr in about 10 years...then again this morning with the ed interview. hell of a job by those 3. always liked matt cord.

my seats, which i originally thought were on the floor, turned out to be 114, row3, about 20 feet from stone's side of the stage. easily the best seats i've ever had for a pj show. unreal. the military dude who ed shared his wine with was one section to our right.

believe it or not, we were under the impression that the dude who hooked us up with these seats (one of the lighting guys) was going to be able to get us backstage....unfortunately, he came out right before Alive and said he couldn't do it, but gave us a copy of the set list instead. still pretty cool. amazing night all around.

68 songs, about 6 hours, and only 9 repeats (i think).....this band is still running strong. i think ed's voice sounds better than it has in years. you could really tell on wws--usually his voice cracks when he's screaming. didn't notice it much. lightning bolt (the song) sounds phenomenal live. one of the highlights for me.

my liver needs about a month off.

  • Strangely neither Black nor Daughter was played in the two shows. Really mixing it up. 8-)

One more show in Baltimore Sunday. 11,000 seat venue - should be sick!

Word. I can't wait to do nothing in Hawaii. This past month has been exhausting.

Nice, dude. Fixer and I had seats almost identical to the soldier for Monday night. Section 115 Row 7. By far the best seats I have ever had for anything.
