Gonna have to wait to order a room.. What are the Hyatt's ratesrunning?
The AAA rate was $161/night, not bad for Chicago.
Just booked a room at 10C headquarters, aka The Hyatt. Can't wait to see everyone there!
I don't have AAA so I checked one of the travel sites. They had rooms for $169 but we opted for the same room with "free" valet parking for $194. It seemed better than paying the $52 for parking once we got there.

I suppose after we hear back about tickets today the Priceline offers can start getting submitted.
Looking forward to hearing how well people do with their offers.

I'll be using Priceline as soon as I'm confirmed for tickets.
Please let me know how it works out.
That Hyatt Regency is massive (like 3 x 30+ floor towers)... it is very likely that people may hit that at a cheaper price on priceline...
I am probably going to do that myself, after I firm up flights... I am looking at a couple of different options, depending on what is the cheapest hotel + flight combo...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

If I'm not mistaken the Hyatt could be had for ~$60-$70/night by naming your own price.

One year I nailed it with priceline for Lolla weekend at $80/night... so yea, it's completely doable if you're willing to take the risk on getting pinned down somewhere else inadvertently... just depends on how much of a demand PJ playing at wrigely generates...
it is a terribly convenient hotel for most things in central chicago.

I'll definitely be looking for deals for the Hyatt when the date gets closer, and then just cancel the reservation I already made there if I find something better. I won't do Priceline for this kind of trip though, even if it is cheaper, because you can't cancel and get a refund ... Concerts can get cancelled for all kinds of reasons, so a PJ trip has to be open to cancellation for me.

Yep - better safe than sorry. I was really surprised how many hotels were fully booked or getting close to it when I was looking last week. Best to snag anything now just to be on the safe side, and then shop around.

Looks like they are starting to see what's going on. Booked two nights at $152 last week.
