If the guns are available, they will fall into the wrong hands. Even with strict laws. I will say that COVID made me think about having a shotgun in the house. But for now it is two Louisville sluggers.
Keep a gun in the house and the odds are that the most likely person to be injured by it will be someone living in the house, so good move with the bats. For one thing, it's very hard to kill oneself with a bat.
Bear Jew. I live in a place with no crime (knocks on wood) and I have teenagers. I could understand why someone might want a glock in the house if they lived somewhere with a higher incidence of crime. But there is no need for semi automatic weapons with large clips.
Yeah I only got a pistol because some weird contractor fucked up the foundation of my house so I refused to pay him. After a year or so he shows up at my house banging on my front door scaring the shit out of my wife. I called him and told him to not come to my house anymore and he refused...said he had a debt to collect. My neighbor even threatened to shoot him that day lol.

I got a restraining order and saw him in court. He was really agitated so I thought I had better get some protection. Luckily he moved away.

I have always kept the bullets separate from the gun so every so often I try to remember where I keep everything in case I need it. A shotty would be much easier to load and use on short notice.

The Bear Jew didn't kill himself with the bat.

I grew up in New York City in the '80s and '90s at the height of its crime levels. My house was broken into while I was home. It still wouldn't have been a good idea to have had a gun in the house. My point is that, statistically, that handgun that people keep in their home for protection is more likely to end up harming someone in the home than it is an invading criminal.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I get your point. I did not grow up there, but lived there from 91 - 2005. Many times we heard banging on the doors at all hours in our third floor walk up. A gun would not have solved those problems.

It doesn't take a gun to kill innocent people. In fact, a car is much easier and available to all. Evil is everywhere in today's world.

true enough. would argue though, many muslims cant read. therefore are relying on clerics to teach them the koran?

here in the US folks CAN read but are just too lazy to read and study on their own. they take the false prophets words for it..

A festive Christmas market in Eastern Germany erupted into chaos after a car was driven into a group of people in the city of Magdeburg on Friday in a suspected terrorist attack.

Five people were reportedly killed and more than 200 were injured in the incident, according to reports. Officials continue to investigate the incident, according to a spokesperson for the local rescue service, as reported by AFP.

Several of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

***IS THAT A FACT? AND, MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE WERE INJURED.

It doesn't take a gun to kill innocent people. In fact, a car is much easier and available to all. Evil is everywhere in today's world.
A person firing an automatic weapon into that crowd would have killed a lot more than five people.

Yes, that is a fact. The Las Vegas shooter murdered 60 people. The Pulse nightclub shooter murdered 49. The Virginia Tech shooter murdered 32. The Sandy Hook shooter murdered 27 people. The Sutherland Springs church shooter murdered 26. There have been 25 mass shootings in which the perpetrators murdered at least a dozen people. There have only been a few incidents in which a car-ramming attack generated that kind of death toll.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

are cars by design intended to maim, injure or kill? is that their reason for manufacture?
And a person who wants to operate a car has to obtain a license that is only issued after the person has demonstrated that they know how to operate the vehicle safely.
