"Go" last year in Berlin. What a start they had there ;-). I've been waiting ~5 years to see them live as I got to know them just around 2001 ... One year before they had played in Salzburg ... Just 10min away from me :(.
And then? Berlin. Great start (and they kept on rocking ;-)), standing in the frontstage area. What else to say? I've simply been happy.

oh man, I had a ticket for that concert but had to sell it because I couldn't make it to Berlin :(
08/23/91 - Mural Amphitheater: Seattle, WA [50m]
attendance: 4,000
set: Once, State of Love and Trust, Even Flow, (Outshined)/Garden, Alive, Black, Deep, Why Go, Porch, Breath
notes: This free, outdoor show was also Dave Abbruzzese's first concert drumming with PJ and the last show of the summer '91 Sounds of Seattle concert series (later called "Pain in the Grass"). As an intro to 'Porch,' Ed says, "This song is about if you love someone, tell him." Ed climbs the speaker stacks during 'Porch' and glances over his shoulder at the Space Needle. Ed takes Jeff's basketball from behind the speakers and throws it playfully into the crowd. The ball makes its way back to the stage during 'Breath.' The seldom played 'Breath' is wonderful.

Release...in Roma 96 in a first row...just awsome. I have to say I had a tears in my eye's:)
CAN'T KEEP CRAZY MARY IN MY TREE NO WAY NOT FOR YOU. ALL THOSE YESTERDAY JEREMY is ALONE, SAD with RATS & BUGS it's HARD TO IMAGINE a JEREMY a BETTER MAN.

In 1996 I saw them in Prague. They showed up late at 10pm to a crowd whose anxiousness was just about ready to blow...They come on and start of with 'GO'...it was absolute chaos, and amazing.
Milwaukee's Summerfest second show 1995. First song they opened up was Act of Love, first PJ song was Go. I'm sure I was thinking how awesome this was. Maybe also wishing I was in Chicago seeing another Grateful Dead show. LOL I saw them the night b4. Not a bad weekend for a 15 yr old.
standing there in the dark at reading with my bro and 2 mates.. to hear the opening music of ten being played (you kno the crazy stuff before once and after release)
we just looked at each other with a look of "here we go"
Present Tense at Borgata 2... I literally flipped OUT! It was surreal..so much emotion going through me...and it was a real surprise, i think they've only opened with it 2 other times. It was truly at treat, getting to scream that chorus with everyone.
My first show ever....travelled all the way to Berlin in 00. Opened with Sometimes....the first time I saw them walk out, time felt like it stopped, as if I knew I missed something all those years.......I never had a chance to see them and I really didnt have friends that were into concerts...I kinda floated by with all my friends in college saying "you've never been to see them"/....
I answered...I have only been to one concert....
anyway....
the first notes blew me away, then Eddie started singing Sometimes...hard song to get right and he fricking nailed it...great set, great crowd....and I truly walked out of that concert a different person. I tell people now (I have met soooo many people before shows that say "I love PJ, but have never seen them...are they good?" All I can say is something that sounds lame, but is oh so frickin true.
You walk out with a different emotion as if you finally UNDERSTAND the music or feel more connected to it. That first song sticks with me and that emotion of feeling in tune with the crowd and the history of the band is unexplainable....that is why I pay for any and everyone to go see our band.
short answer...Sometimes, Berlin
Last song I saw, YellowLedbetter hawaii.......
Next song I will see: either Baseless or Split Decision, off the new b-side Album that is being released in early July. Cant wait.....22 unheard songs they recorded from Avocado and the High Definition DVD of 4 full shows (undecided so far) for the upcoming West Coast Blitz tour. I cant believe they plan on doing 30 shows in 31 days in California, Vegas and Washington state in August. They are even doing three shows in one day - short sets, but at awesome places. August 14 they are playing the Greek Theatre in LA, the Greek Theatre in Berkely and the GOrge!!!! All in a day.
Release...9/11/98...I had tears in my eyes...fucking 19 year old guy, I didn't care...
I felt affirmed that they were who I suspected them to be...
We were behind and to the left of the band, above them...looking down, listening to Black, when Ed started singing walk in me...most spiritual moment of my life...until about 30 seconds later when Mike shredded my soul with his solo...
Mine was Release 5/3/03 in State College, PA. I got the chills. Never saw/heard anything like PJ live. Pretty awesome feeling.
