What was the first PJ song you heard LIVE and how did you feel?

Hey folks,

Mine was "Corduroy" at the Pinkpop festival back in 2000. After years of waiting the band came on stage and started playing this song. I know it was really hot weather that day but I was compeltely overwhelmed. Since that moment I became more and more fan of PJ...

How about you guys?

Mine was Oceans in Buffalo 96,It was one of my favorites off Ten and was truely amazing.I had never seen a PJ setlist before so I didn't know at the time it was a bit of a rareity, and that made it even more special.I've yet to hear it since.

Wow, Oceans as an opener...I guess it would have the same impact as Release, which I saw in Arnhem...

World wide Suicide at the Astoria. (To be honest I'd rather it had been Long Road or Release, but I can't complain). I felt slightly drunk and excitable! :D )

I hope you'll get Release one day - In Arnhem they started with Release; the first guitar sounds and at that moment I was like: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Especially when lots of fans were singing "I'll ride this wave, where it takes meeeeeeeeeee!!!

Long Road at Uniondale '03. The only boot I owned at that point had Long Road as the opener, so I thought it was standard. I was much more excited when Rearviewmirror came on next.

My first PJ live song was "RELEASE" (November 22th Santiago Chile) at the very first concert in South America.
I have to say that it was one of the most spectacular moments in my life.
In fact, when the show starts, I was in the midle of the field (floor) and when I become aware of the song I just can´t crontol my self. Then I took off running to the stage.
They played "SMALL TOWN" in that show to ... then I cried.

  • was in Dublin this year. And they opened with Inside Job. I'm not a big fan of the new album, but maybe it was the first time i'd ever see them live but i loved the whole thing. They're even better live than they are on the records, n that's a pretty hard thing to beat.

"Sometimes" in Dallas in '98. It was the infamous Rodman show, so the night only got more and more surreal. I was sittin apart from my friends because I had to buy a scalped ticket outside. Alone, but in a GREAT place until the guy who sold me my ducket walked by and sat down (he was a WEIRD-lookin dude-only a couple chicklets left in his grill, dirty ponytail, waaaay creepy). I remember watching Rodman walk out in nothin but the huge straw hat and NC blue bball shorts; I was thinking "no way that's Dennis Rodman"...

    Sometimes - Los Angeles 10-24-2000.

It was an amazing feeling. I had been into them ever since Yield and I was finally watching them live. I didn't really know what they looked like or anything back then. I was 14 or 15. It was in a beautiful venue in Los Angeles called the Greek Theatre.
