    I GOT SHIT....

first song of the buenos aires sound check...what can I say about how I felt .... just imagine that song...we were in the venue´s entrance, but the doors were closed...so we could hear everything but we couldnt see...it was hot, like 13.30 hs....in that moment the intro started to sound....it stopped...started again...stopped.....we all said (we were like 15 guys there) "it must be a guitar tech"....but suddenly, like the fifth intro trial eddie started "my lips are shaking my nails are bit off" and they played the whole song ... it was such an amazing moment...to have my first time as a surprise...not waitin it at all...it was just unforgettable..
  • Release in Arnhem... AWESOME... finally after so many years of waiting... a very, very, very special and emotional moment (tears in my eyes)... could'nt think of a better one... I will never forget...

'Animal' at Finsbury Park in 1993...

    blew...

    me...

    away...

standing in a field, fighting my way to the front during the support acts ready for PJ followed by Neil Young. 'Animal' came from out of nowhere and we didn't stop jumping until it got dark! My first all-day gig and one I'll never, ever forget.

    check the setlist out:
Animal, Go, Once, Blood, Even Flow, Jeremy, Glorified G, Daughter, Alive, Why Go, Leash, Porch/(Fuckin' Up)/(Tearing)

'Nothing As It Seems' in Cardiff in 2000 was pretty special too.
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

  • Mine was Can't Keep, in Melbourne (20th Feb 03), and it was quite surreal. I remember thinking this is it (after having a few beers with a famous australian cricketer!), and after a slow start they burst into Breakerfall which was awesome.

On another note, am I one of a very few number of people who has seen them at opposite sides of the globe, as i have seen them in Reading, England this year. But to see them whilst on holiday in Australia was truely a great way to enjoy my time off work!!!!!

Present Tense opening at Borgata 2...I remember hearing those first few notes, and getting chills, thinking to myself "This is the greatest band in the world".

  • Mine was Hard to Imagine, it gave me chills, actually still gives me chills when i hear the bootleg. I also got Release at San Francisco 3 this year which was amazing, i was like 4th row (G/A).

Still waiting on Oceans, Long Road....

Till then the bootlegs will have to do

This band kicks so much ass!
  • Inside Job in the Point 23/8/06...

Fuckin beautiful... The little jangly outro from the record played over the PA, Mike walks over, picks up his SWEET doubleneck SG, and I just knew... Inside Job... I nearly guffed myself unconscious... This was THE song that got me through my Leaving Cert... My favourite song since I don't know when... And they were opening with it...

Instrumental beginning was stunning... Then out comes Ed for the verse... And it all took off from there... As Mike begins the outro solo, I break out my sign - "McCready - 1/2 Man, 1/2 Guitar solo", and HE SEES IT, and, imo, points the solo in my direction...:D

Now, listening back on the boot, it's still just as magical... One of the most special moments of my life...
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

  • "Corduroy", Portland Oregon 1998 was my first, and my favorite PJ song at th time. It was a Great show but was too naive to realize what I was seeing at the time.

The moment when I realized exactly how incredible this band was, especially live, was "Present Tense" in Charlotte, NC 2000...

    Haven't looked back since.

    In Marseille 2006.
After a 2 year's waiting, it was perfect.

    Hey folks,

Mine was "Corduroy" at the Pinkpop festival back in 2000. After years of waiting the band came on stage and started playing this song. I know it was really hot weather that day but I was compeltely overwhelmed. Since that moment I became more and more fan of PJ...

    How about you guys?
Mine was 'Corduroy' too - in the UK. Felt awesome waited to see the band eversince I started liking them. Best live band ever - best band ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • The first song I heard was Of The Girl at St. Louis on the 2000 tour. I have to admit I was disappointed as that is my least favorite Pearl Jam song. The feeling did not last as I was treated to Footsteps, Porch, U, and Sonic Reducer.
I got scratches all over my arms, one for each day since I fell apart.

    'Sometimes', 19 July 1998.

    How did I feel?

Gobsmacked. Thrilled to be seeing and hearing a legendary band play amazing music.

One of my favourite performances would be 'Better Man', first show Melbourne, 2003. That was an amazing show opener.

Every time I've seen Pearl Jam it has been amazing. I've been really lucky.
  • It was Corduroy - Melbourne 1995

I'm not sure if it is all due to that being the first song I heard live but it's still my favorite song. I can still feel the energy (from the band and the crowd) like it was yesterday.
