Here was mine... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xDFGb4U-W4 - can just see the green off my flag down in the front of the crowd at the start
After nigh on 12 years of trying to see this band and always missing them (had tickets in hand on two different occasions and couldn't make the gigs) it was a touch emotional for me :P
...London Doesn't Call Anymore... (rip joe)
Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.
Sometimes at the Los Angeles 10/24/2000 show. It was intense. I was only 14. I had been listening to Pearl Jam since I was about 12 cause of my brother. He took me to the show. I couldn't believe I was actually witnessing live Pearl Jam.
I'm taking my brother to Bridge School this year, to repay him.
Let Me Live So When It's Time To Die Even The Reaper Cries
Release...felt like my heart was fluttering out of my body! That was in '98. Gave me the same feeling a few weeks ago in AV. But I'm a little jealous of those who've seen Oceans...
No time to be void or save up on life...you've got to spend it all.
My first PJ song live was Bee Girl. It was at the 8/21/09 show in Toronto. The band basically had to be their own opener because the singer from the opening band couldn't get into Canada. At one point during this improv pre-show Jeff and Ed came out and played Bee Girl... I was in awe and knew I was witnessing one hell of a first time PJ show.

Corduroy at the Rose Garden, Portland '98. It was insane, because that was, at the time, my favorite song, and I drove for three days to see that show, so it was just intense. I remember during the drive down thinking that it would all be worthwhile if I could just hear that one song, everything else would be a bonus, and they come out and that's the first thing they played.
Of the Girl. I was absolutely stunned and couldn't believe I was finally seeing PJ after waiting for such a long time. OTG was special too because at the time I was very deep into Binaural and its one of my favorite tunes of that album. It was such a great way to kick off the show. The pounding kick drum and the low lights set a great mood. Right after OTG they went into Animal and the crowd blew up.
better man at melbourne #1 2003. crowd smashed out the first verse as usual, pearl jam were supreme. closed the night with baba. very memorable first pj experience
It was "Go" in Athens 2006...
I couldn't believe that i was actually seeing PJ live after of so many hours listening Bootlegs, so it was a bit strange feeling...
I posted this in another thread but I guess I can try to explain... Somehow...
The first song I heard was Oceans in Buffalo, NY on October 1, 1996. I was sixteen years old and it was my first time in the then called Marine Midland Arena (Not The F'N Center or First Niagara Center).
I paid $150 for my ticket and the only reason I could afford it was because the weekend before I won my football parlay card. I think I won about $95 and my Mom paid the rest
I went to the arena right after school. I milled around until it was time to go in. I went all the way to the top and sat in the last row just to get a feel for the new place. I had a floor ticket and back then it was general admission. I didn't watch the opening band opting instead for pizza and pop.
Just before the lights went down I managed to make it to a solid sport in what would have been about the fourth row in front of Jeff. The lights went out, Ed said, "Good Evening. 1..2..3..4 - OCEANS
I have been to 71 shows since so I guess it hit a nerve. Another small note from the show, I barely survived State of Love and Trust. The mosh pit was so raging I thought death was the only way out. Luckily that shit has calmed down.
My 1st show was at MSG 9/11/98. I was trying to think about what song they would open with. I thought it would be something fast and pumped like RVM. To my amazement it was Release. I still remember the opening notes. All lights were turned off except for this blinding white light coming from the stage....and then that droning began. I had floor seats. You could feel the vibrations in your stomache. it was magical.
10 years and many shows later, I once again had floor seats at MSG.
They opened with Hard To Imagine. I had the same feeling I had 10 years ago. I am in awe every time I think about it

"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
Oceans in Calgary during the 2005 Canada tour. I seriously could have died happily at that moment as I'd been waiting 14 years for them to come back to Calgary after I'd missed their first stop there in 1991 thinking they'd be back more often than Stomping Tom Connors.
Release in Vancouver '05. Most surreal experience for me. I just froze when it started, and then I belted every word of that song out..."Where it takes meeeee!!!"

Honestly, I couldn't hear it that well, 'cause it was like 20000 people screaming at the same time, and I was jumping and crying and trying to breath, but it felt awesome.
