Better Man in Melb '03. I honestly couldn't have cared what song they came on stage with, as long as I was seeing them. The crowd erupted when they appeared, and it was awesome. Have heard BM live 5 times overall, a concert staple and classic song.

I don't have a particular song as such - but the whole of the Vitalogy album will always have a special place in my heart.
It was the first album Pearl Jam toured for... and is and album that helped me through those tubulent teenage years!
I (like many) was first introduced to PJ in Ten, was ravenous for the second helping with VS, however, Vitalogy is that album - you know, the one that you will always listen to when times are tough, you need a little pick me up, or as the line in the brilliant "Almost Famous" by Cameron Crowe states, put on a record - and all your friends are there... Vitalogy is that for me...
NOT FOR YOU is my angry, throw things around, make myself feel better jam, SPIN THE BLACK CIRCLE is my 'out-of-control' song, Corduroy has personal meaning to me... The whole album is non stop... from start to finish... CLASSIC!!!
When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do...
Pearl Jam - Adelaide: 1995, 1998, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2014

'92 Bridge Benefit. As a huge Neil fan and Santa Cruz local, I had been going every year since the beginning. Hadn't heard Pearl Jam at all before that night. Footsteps was the opener and it's been a long love affair ever since. It was an unforgettable evening...would love a good video.
The first song I've ever heard was Driven To Tears followed by Throw Your Arms Around Me. The concert was in Stockholm '92. I don't remember very much from the show, however I do remember feeling kinda confused. I had listened to Ten a lot and neither of the first two songs were from that record.
last exit at the polo fields in SF in '95, and i felt a mixture of emotions, sheer excitement to see the band finally, worry when i saw ed looking like shit, and tehn feeling like i was gonna either a) suffocate from the heat, or b) suffocate from being crushed in the mosh pit just a few feet from the stage (which was by accident lol). first and only time i ever i punched someone was during 'go'....fun times hahaha
love boat captain msg1 03, i rember just having this rush of energy when the first notes hit and being stoned helped alot too, just the whole night was awsome. had some good people around me getting me beer all night.i rember i just walked around nyc after the concert was over and thinking wow i just saw pj
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?

well dude kept groping. he was asking for it lol
MSG1, what a great first show to have! i sorta see the polo fields and the make-up show at spartan stadium later that year as one, sorta picking up where the other left off. that one opened with release, and that was just gorgeous to me (plus i was safe and sound with my friends in the bleachers haha)

my first song was MFC in prague too,it was very nice start of the show...but higlights for me were daughter, man on the hour, betterman, given to fly when i felt shivers on my back, and hearing RITFW while i was crowdsurfing:)
my first song was sometimes in budapest in 1996, first row in front of mike, the first song was really emotional for me, the way ed sang it, very quietly, with candles burning on the stage, the whole show was great, this was also the first time ever they played black red yellow
Breakerfall...Buenos Aires I...When the song was finished, my body was completely wet...the feelings of the first guitar sounds, the band on stage, the lights, the screaming, all those years waiting, 20000 people jumping at the same time...there are no words to explain this feelings
Release in Indio '93. Still can't forget the chills down my spine as Eddie moaned the opening notes. That's why there will never be a better opening song in my heart,
Do you ever get that feeling just as something is happening that you've been waiting for, where for a brief second or two you suddenly think "oh shit, what if it isn't as good as i've built it up to be? what if it disappoints me?"?
Well, just as Eddie and the boys came on stage, i had that very quick feeling mixed with euphoria and pure shock that i was finally seeing my favourite band in the whole world. As soon as i heard Eddie playing that ebow i knew what was coming and i was instantly uplifted and taken to another 'space' or 'dimension' where absolutely NOTHING else mattered in that moment other than the music.
Crowd started jumping straight away, singing along, lights flashing. It was just mayhem and it was like a drug. It was orgasmic, to say the least.
Only thing that matched it was hearing 'Release' a few months later in Verona. That was the 'one' that i'd been waiting for.
I never knew music could make me feel like this until i found PJ.
"This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."
once in san diego 1991...so powerful.....so much energy.....they played so hard...i remember mike having to change guitars like 3 times because he kept breaking all the strings!!! I wish I could remember more of the concert...Who knew I would still be here 16 yrs later loving this band more than ever!!!!!
GO PJ!!!

Seattle 2005
SF 2000, 2001, 2003--- oh or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself
My first song I heard live was "Can't Keep" from the June 3rd 2003 show in Irvine CA. Is was so awsome, the sun was going down, there was an amazing sunset in the open air setting. All of a sudden the lights shut off, it's so quiet then the drums come in. Such an amazing experience ...first concert ever!
Well, I dreamed about one day seeing Pearl ja live for years. And when Pearl jam came out on stage that night, I kinda felt like it was another damn dream, especially because they were sitting down for the opener and I was thinking "What the fuck are they doing?!" then stone started playing the HTI riff, and I though "god dammit, this is another fucking dream." then i realized it wasn't, and i cried like a little girl. it really sums up the definition of "surreal" for me. It wasn't until Animal cut in next that it really hit me that i was at my first PJ concert. greatest 5 minutes of my life.

The first song I saw was Go in Bern. I just thought "damn, they rock!"
But I think release would be even greater. Or Porch.
