  • Cubs ticket prices went up an average of 10% this year.
Marquee games went from 9 to 14.
A section in the "Outfield Grandstand" was re-classified to "Outfield Box", and those seats went up 43%.
If you wanted to purchase tickets the last couple days, before the tickets were officially on sale Friday, you could purchase seats at a 20% markup.

Bleh..I will wait till the season starts and get my seats off stub hub.

Just traded Chris Coughlan to the A's for a young SP.

I like Coughlan and hate to see him go. But it makes me thing some of the minor league outfielders are going to be given some backup /platoon chances this year.

Okay, nevermind. Now just read they signed Dexter Fowler for 1 year with an option for 2017.

I thought the Orioles were getting Fowler.

I'm fine if they keep em both. I'm high on Soler especially. Just look at him, built like a horse. Yes he has had injury issues but when healthy he can carry a team like during the cards series. Ideally keep em both and if pitching is an issue deal one of em at the deadline.

I'm debating whether or not to buy the MLB Baseball TV package. It seems every time I buy a package (NFL, MLB, NHL) my team will always suck that year. Hmmm....

The two years I bought the MLB package, the Cubs had Dale Sveum as manager. And I quit buying the NHL package because the Blackhawks are nationally televised 2 out of every 3 games.
