Contemplating getting 2 tickets for Saturday.

$450 for 2 tix in the upper deck.
    Stub Hub

Seems pricey to me for a divisional playoff series...but I wont pay more than $100 to see anything..enjoy the game at home or a nice restaurant so at least you get a good meal out of it..

You don't have to justify it to me, man.
I spent about $2000 on PJ tour this year and I am thinking of flying to Chicago just to hang out in Wrigleyville if the Cubs do it.

  • I am also going to Saturdays game. Girlfriends uncle was drawn for the chance to purchase tickets. He's kind enough to take us and his son. His son got to buy tickets last year and they took us to the 6 hone run game against the red birds. Talk about finding a woman with an awesome family!
This year's seats won't be in the bleachers (Upper Deck 3rd base side) but at least I'll be in the ball park to see the '27 Yankees!

As the Cubs advance, the pricing will only escalate. Anything I have read in regards to the Cubs playoffs tickets, is telling me the pricking is going to be nothing but ridiculous, if the Cubs advance further. Like most expensive ticket EVER ridiculous, if they were to make the World Series.

I've heard that WS tickets are likely to be more thab SB tickets should the Cubs make it that far. I'm telling you based on last year, the atmosphere even for the NLDS is going to be freakin wild.
The hope is that I get drawn to purchase tickets to the next round or WS should they advance that far. However, right now I am just thrilled at the prospect of being inside Wrigley during the post season where they could possibly win it all.

$450 for 2 tix in the upper deck.
    Stub Hub

Seems pricey to me for a divisional playoff series...but I wont pay more than $100 to see anything..enjoy the game at home or a nice restaurant so at least you get a good meal out of it..
I'm going to the game. Yeah it is pricey, but I am going to the game.

    Go Cubbies!

    Happy for you.

Yeah I am just trying to justify the fact that I spent $450 for 2 Cubs tickets. Hahahahaha
EXACTLY!! Enjoy my friend. Nothing like a playoff game at Wrigley, electric atmosphere.
I'm sure the atmosphere will be insane.
    Go Hendricks!
At least Hammel isn't pitching. Went to game 4 of the NLCS last yr and the atmosphere died real quick.

That's awesome you got tickets for Saturday. I'm standing pat on buying tickets. In 98, I had game 4 tickets. In 03, WS tickets. 08, game 4 tickets. There's a pattern there that we get eliminated the game before I can get into the ballpark. Told myself after 08 that next time I go, it's game 4,5,6, or 7 of the WS - and I'm buying tickets the day of the game. My dad and I have put aside money every year just in case - even if we can't get in, I'll be in Wrigleyville for the clincher when that day happens. Can't possibly miss that.

I am also going to Saturdays game.

    27 Yankees

    @Wobbie
    You caught that huh? Hahaha
Yep. Wobbie Rob needs to be punished for his blasphemy!!!!!

    good morning, cubs fans :coffee:

a little preemptive strike here...first of all, I hope I'm not quite the asshole many of you imagine me to be...lolobugg may be able to vouch for that (or not). I don't actually "hate" the cubs...at least not most of them.

I truly despise lackey (a piece of human garbage; I'd like to punch him in his ugly face).

arrieta has the look of an asshole but he's probably a fine guy. I have a bit of a dislike hangover for heyward but only because he's an ex-Brave (they had the Giants' number for years) and there was some support for him over Posey for ROY in 2010 (ridiculous).

other than those guys (and really only lackey), the cubs seem to be a fine group of talented players. I'm sure I will get irritated by the media's continued fawning over them and your "genius" manager, tho. but, no doubt, theo and maddon, have a good thing going. the cubbies should be good for a long while.

I'll try to tone down my rhetoric (no promises) but it's really just meant to bust your balls. after the Giants knocked out the Phillies in '10, a philly guy jumped on his computer and went nuclear in all caps, big, bold font, with "fuck" being every other word. but, you know what? we laugh about it now.

after seeing matz, de grom and harvey sitting on the bench, I'm pretty sure you guys did not want to see the Giants and their healthy rotation. all four have been pitching well as of late. our bullpen and hitting generally suck, tho. we'll see what happens. I'm off now....need to go pick up an XL bottle of Tums.
