Topps ain't got no love for Hammel, Strop, & Rondon. Should've made it a 20-card set with those 3, Szczur, & Edwards and throw in a bonus Maddon card.

Not embarrassed to say that I cried myself to sleep in '03... I too don't take any team for granted in the postseason. Anything can and will happen in baseball. That's part of the reason I love the game.

I was actually more disappointed in 2008. Best record in the NL, most runs in MLB, and we couldn't hit a Backspacer bouncy ball with a tennis racket against a team that finished 6 games over .500!
That's the year Manny hit a home run off a pitched that bounced to him, wasn't jt?

PEDs aside, the guy was still one of the best hitters ever. And he's currently a batting consultant for our beloved team. As long as he's not coaching our guys to take roids, I can let bygones be bygones.

Its amazing the talent the Cubs have that they signed Jason Heyward to that absurd contract, he is a complete bust and they have accomplished what they have...should have saved all that money and locked up everyone for years, but im sure with that front office and Epstein they will make it work

what a year they have put together so far even with the post all start break mini slump..something for Cubs fan to enjoy

Walkoff winner!! Had fun sharing my first 7th inning stretch with Dawson. When Ryno said let's give it up for the 2016 NL Central Champs, he all on his own rose his right hand and made a fist! Proud parent moment. Little doubt he is a Cubs fan even at 4 days old.

so who scares you the most in the NL playoffs? I think the Nats are going to be a tough out.

Yeah, i agree. But, it would be even more scarier for the Cubs if Strasburg was healthy(it appears he's done for the year). If the Nats had him with Scherzer & Roark? Man, that's some tough pitchers to face.

I would be more scared of the cards than the nats or mets, just not shitless.

  • With the Cubs/Cardinals, anything is possible. The Mets don't have Murphy this year, so that's a food thing. However, the Nate do. They also have Scherzer, Roark and possibly Strasburg. That ftightens me more than the red birds or the mets.

The Nats don't bother me. The Giants do. SFs hitting is trash, but if the cubs started a hitting funk against madbum and cueto, we'd have problems.

  • In the playoffs, you should fear and respect everyone. I think the only team that really has me scared "shitless" so to speak is Boston. Should we make it that far.

I feel like all thw possible NL playoff opponents scare me more than any AL ones and of the NL, ny sf and stl the most as they will be likely fighting till the end to get in. Hoping whomever wins the WC burns their ace in the WC game. Madbaum or one of nys aces twice in a 5 gamer scares me.

Exactly. Celebrating like they won the whole thing yesterday scares me. Shots for the owner in the club house? You won the division fellas, lots to go. Calm down.....
  • Man, this shit with Arrieta after the 5th inning needs to stop.
  • 7 runs given up in the 8th & 9th. For fucks sake.
  • At least the Nats lost. Home field magic number = 9

Yeah that was big. I get resting guys, but you need to lock up homefield. A little too laxative in my mind.
