So what do you think is instore for us Canadians from the Harper government again?

A resounding testimony that the intelligent, reasonable, well rounded individuals in Canada are outnumbered by the simple fools that drool all over themselves daily.

I fear for what you say because of it materializes... we will know that this is actually the case. And in this event... that's the shits. Drooling fools get to shape my future.
Sorry I was laughing so hard... I just couldn't resist.

"Droll all over themselves daily". How simple and obtuse can you be?

The extreme left, such as yourself, tend to think of themselves as "more civilized", "intellectual" and "socially conscious". But your last post shows a complete lack of any of those traits which you hold so dear.
Great... now I can't help myself.

    Yah I suck.

But as much as I suck... I've never procured social assistance from my government for four years and proceed to call anyone else who does a 'bum'... while at the same time talk about how awesome I am and how to be successful with a strong work ethic. Doing that would make me narcissistic.
I guess I will have to spell this out for you.
I wasn't on social assistance you mindless oaf. I paid my tuition, I paid back my student loans.
The government pays a certain percentage of the average students tuition as post secondary education is partially funded in Canada.

I guess you are so obviously perfect that you never did anything in your life you consider wrong in retrospect.

I have never actually had a discussion with someone as narrow minded and clueless as you. It seriously makes me howl.

I am fine with welfare, EI, government subsidized post secondary, CPP, on and on. But there has to be a limit. We can't keep taxing the hell out of hard working Canadians. I mean, I don't even know why you keep arguing with me.
If someone has a different view of the world than you, you are so "obtuse" that you can't even see the forest for the trees.

I never said abolish all the social programs. Would I like smaller government? You bet, because I am afraid someday I won't be able to take a shit without being taxed.
    - park to go to the bank, paid parking on a street TAX
    - buy lunch it includes GST - TAX
    - buy a house, own property - TAX
    - have a pet, get a licence - TAX
    - own a vehicle, register it - TAX
    - have a job, they steal 39% - TAX
    - stay at a hotel, fees - TAX
    - fly on a vacation - airport improvement fees - TAX
    - put gas IN Your vehicle - GAS TAX
    - go to the municipal dump - $20 minimum - TAX
    - Party once in a while, like booze? TAX
    - I don't smoke, but if you do? - TAXED HARD

Now that is off the top of my head. I'm sure there are about 50 more ways they drain our wallets. The Canadian Taxpayer Federation says we work half the year for the government.
People are getting fed up, and taxing the corporations who provide jobs is not the answer.
I've owned a business, a worker contributes- company contributes more. CPP? Same thing.

Leftists just don't understand economics and point to the Scandanavian socialism as the answer. If it was so perfect, wouldn't it work everywhere? Why is Greece and Spain in so much trouble?
Why do 2000 people apply for a Starbucks job in England? Unemployment rampant in France?
    These are socialist countries.

Canada is good THE WAY IT IS. I'm not interested in the fucking leftist elite dragging us into a quagmire of debt to pay for a cradle to grave welfare state. A debt which will not be the responsibility of those bleeding heart motherfuckers, but their children and grandchildren.

At this point, if you are still going to call me a "hypocrite" go right ahead.
By the way, when I took the test on where my beliefs stand in comparison to the parties? Almost equal with all the big 3. Where you get the idea I'm a hard line right winger is beyond me. Just a meathead on a PJ board. You have entered a new pantheon in idiocy.

Id love to have all my money I pay in taxes for me, but this country is busy paying for all those people that used our assistance.

You know what? I'm okay with you using our money for your personal growth... but you never even completed your program. Gee... that was a great investment by us.

I agree with you that we are taxed a lot. This is why I think the crook Harper has to go- we need someone that isn't afraid to let big business share in the tax paying department and offset the costs of all those programs to the working class which you have taken advantage of.

Thirty - lovely to hear you've joined the rest of us on the extreme left or, as we of course call it in Canada, the extrême-gauche. Make sure to join us next Tuesday for our meeting at the Marxist-Leninist centre where we plot the next cultural revolution. Dress code is casual, hammer and sickle optional but beards appear to be mandatory for the fellows.
I'd attend this meeting, but I'm in the process of abusing the system and receiving handouts.

    Waaaaay too busy.

I know, but don't be too hard on yourself... we forgive you. It could have been worse for us: you could have been on assistance for 5 years (or even more) like those 'other' bums.

Gawddamn bums just getting a free ride. Sheesh. Get to work assholes. Go get a job in one of our foreign owned resource based industry jobs that Harper pimped out to China.

Well, at least we can tell why your user name is "1 thought".
So when you say "we", what do you mean?

    Unbelievable

I know, but don't be too hard on yourself... we forgive you. It could have been worse for us: you could have been on assistance for 5 years (or even more) like those 'other' bums.

Gawddamn bums just getting a free ride. Sheesh. Get to work assholes. Go get a job in one of our foreign owned resource based industry jobs that Harper pimped out to China.

Well isn't that nice! A pinko forgives me :

And the second part of your pointless post, working for a living is better than sitting on your ass with orange hands because you get paid by the government to eat Doritos and watch porn

  • Eight days left of this bullshit campaigning.

TAX

I suggest we call a truce.

    Chew on these items:

Harper's fiscal management is a tale of reversal and failure, not triumph. Department of Finance Fiscal Reference Tables reveal that in the years before Harper became prime minister, there were nine consecutive years of budgetary surpluses, from 1997 to 2007. In eight of those years, Ottawa amassed a surplus of over $79 billion. Yet In Harper's first eight years as prime minister, he managed to produce a deficit of almost $127 billion.

How difficult can it be to balance the books when cuts and closures rule the day and program spending is estimated to have fallen by some $4 billion last year alone? The Harper government has cut almost 26,000 public service jobs in the last three years and they have dropped or axed many important programs and services.

He's not done yet: Canada Post, despite reporting large profits, is moving to community mail boxes eliminating a massive number of working class people. The auto industry is getting beat down. And the list goes on.

Instead of demanding corporations pay their fair share of taxes, he shrinks our workforce. Say nothing of compromising our national values as he strokes international interests... he's secretive and he's scandalous.

He can't run his campaign on his body of work because its been poor: instead he resorts to the oldest method- attacking and discrediting his opponents to strike fear in the 'drooling fools'. This is where my original comment was borne from: he's not worth a vote for most... and if someone is voting for him fearing that 'the other guy's not ready yet'... they've bought the tactic.

After such a lengthy term... he should be able to present his work and not even acknowledge his opposition. He can't though. It's simply not impressive.

Fair enough, but I never once said I was going to vote for the Conservatives. I have concerns about each party and all the "free" money they have been throwing around during this campaign. OUR. money.

Like being an Ottawa Senators fan and they say "we are goin to sign every big name free agent over the next five years" and. Most fans are "FUCK YEAH".
They sign them for one offseason and then say "ummmmm.... We didn't think about where we were going to get this cash, we need to raise ticket prices 15% and jack up beers in the Kanata money vacuum to $15 for a cup of draft".

Now this is an example better served in a salary cap free sports league, like MLB (Go Jays!),
but these politicians create these ideas on how to run the economy, send it to an economist and asks "Do these numbers add up? Can this work?". If ONE "expert" says yes then it's a campaign promise.
I wonder if that same "expert" took the 30 other promises these jackasses are making before giving them the green light.

They cannot get blood from a stone, the economy only works if people have money to spend.

  • Harper at least promises not to raise taxes.
    Turdo will run deficits
New Disaster Party will just do whatever with the economy and see what sticks
The Green Party will propose we recycle all money in order to use it twice.

There is a long-standing rule in Canada that you make sure that the country you’re selling arms to respects basic human rights, which is clearly not the case for Saudi Arabia, but you do not cancel a manufacturing deal like that when you come in” to government
    NDP not for me.
NDP at the federal level is laughable. NDP is lacking in the cranium department.

  • I never once presented a world where people don't vote for Harper is a lazy sack of shit.
I took an education as a teenager. Is taking college education a handout? Sure I dropped out, but I think I'm one class short of my two year diploma for broadcasting.
Anyways, the point you all seem to conveniently miss is I AM FINE WITH THINGS HOW THEY ARE. Social safety net is good enough. Somehow that makes me a NEO-con or something? It's laughable.

    you said:

Everyone wants a handout instead of working for it. I will just never get it. I moved out of the house at 18 and my first full time gig was for 6 bucks an hour. This is after dropping out of post-secondary school and wasting taxpayers dollars for four years (not proud of that).

I didn't see anyone calling you a neocon, or anyone saying capitalism is evil.

things how they are is not good enough, apparently. it was good enough for you, but some need more help than you did.

So to recap everything... As I take a break from here again as I can only handle so much of the uber left wing rhetoric and silly posts of other people views and links to news stories from the watered down media we already read:

    1) I've never once said who I am going to vote for
    2) you are all convinced I am voting for Harper
    3) some think I am hypocrite because I learned from my mistakes (interestingly, I went to the Lethbridge Food Bank four times as a student and I send them $100 every year, I don't forget)
    4) if anyone doesn't agree with people who think Harper is pure evil that person is wrong
    5) it appears people who lean far to the left are extremely closed minded. To the point of a lack of respect of any view which isn't consistent of their own
    6) not one of you know me, but you have many assumptions.. Good for you
    7) the internet isn't real and all of you are wasting your time arguing here while doing NOTHING
    8) I am fine with the way things are and I don't want to pay more taxes.

No matter who wins and takes hold of the government, you are going to complain. Then you are going to bitch and moan how the corporations run the world. All the while doing nothing because you say stupid shit on Twitter or Facebook, or because you dropped acid and freaked out at age 19. Or it's just because you like to complain.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, running a country is no easy job, many have tried and so few have left office revered (remember when they considered renaming Canada's largest mountain after PET? )
So carry on with your left wing propaganda, I will lurk in the shadows laughing. Most of all though, get out there and vote on the 19th, even if you spoil your ballot, because above everything else I believe in democracy.

Cheers! Oh yeah and 27 days till I see PJ in Santiago. I'm so blessed... What a great country we live in.

I've always found it quite interesting when I see someone comes on the internet to argue and then make fun of people who come on the internet to argue?

and makes jokes about saying "stupid shit" because they did drugs at a young age, something they have previously admitted to.

and pigeon holes people into one ideology and way of thinking, with little to no evidence of that, all the while doing the same themselves.

I think someone lives under a bridge.

again, Canada is one of the lowest taxed countries ... one would know that if they weren't continuing to buy into some conservative indoctrination ...

other things conservatives are trying to brainwash their supporters with:
    * global warming isn't real
    * muslims are bad
    * terrorists hate canada because we believe in freedom and democracy

  • I just found out over the weekend that even my parents won't vote for harper. they are voting Justin strategically (which many seem to be doing) just to "get harper out".

So now this fahmy guy is back stirring shit.

Is there any particular reason that your only rebuttal to any other voter's preference other than an obviously corrupt conservative party is to start calling everyone childish names and hurling insults. Can you actually endorse your political choices in an educated and eloquent manner?

How can you possibly get what you just said out of what I just posted?
Trudeau did not get him out, neither did hotair.
I am not saying harper did it himself but all factions of the govt had to work together to secure his release.
In turn he repays the current govt with a slap to the face.

Choosing who to vote for or not to vote for is not supposed to be something that can be 'bought', whatever the currency may have been. It is his basic right as a Canadian to choose, without being chastised for it. Also thank you for making my point by not being able to refrain from calling one of the candidates names in your rebuttal. You may not like a candidate or a party leader but when you stoop to calling them names it negates the validity of your statement.
