I don't really understand the gripe of the OP. If you got tickets to a show that is too far away and costs too much, that's on you. A show was added that is closer and costs less to attend? Fantastic! sell the tickets you have (I'm sure it won't be a problem) and cancel your flight reservations. There is plenty of time to do all of this.

If you can't get tickets to Memphis. . . oh well. You already made the arrangements for the Florida! You see? You're covered!

When the Specturm shows were on sale I originally bought tickets to the Friday show, but then the Saturday show was added (which was more convenient for me due to travel). I was able to scoop up tickets for that show and sell the ones I had for Friday. All was good.

I hope you take heed to my advice here to overcome these dire and most trying circumstances you find yourself in and are able to overcome this crushing adversity. Good luck.

I didn't read every detail of this thread, but you do realize that you can't just "sell" tickets bought through Ten Club, don't you? If someone bought ten club tix, they're stuck with them. I think it's a good point. I can understand waiting to add 2nd shows to see how they sell, but adding another city close by, when you know they had the venue booked before the tour was announced... I don't get that other than making people buy tickets for two shows when they might have just bought them for one. Not all of us can just travel to see multiple shows, much less afford them, taking off work, etc. I think it is pretty crappy when they announce part of a tour then another part later. It's a money making plan. Good one, too.

Can you please explain to me how it is a money making scheme to wait to announce other shows. Are these shows somehow magically turning the $90 ticket into $300 for the 10 Club? It would be the same revenue no matter when they are sold.

So you're mad because you are being forced to travel to a different city to see a concert than the city you would prefer to travel to? that's how booking tours works. i remember how pissed I was when they added Hershey and Holmdel to the end of the 03 tour...so pissed I bought tickets and went to both! Things happen. Shows get added. This is how it works with just about every band for every tour. If demand is such that a show can be added, they add it. Knowing your posting history, I'm pretty sure you are just complaining for the sake of it. :roll:

It is very common for a band to have more then one venue on hold for the same date. If many cases, an act will put a show on sale, and then add a second show if the demand warrants said show. If it doesn't look like there is enough demand for a second show, thats when the band may decide to add a show in a different city. It is very possible that the Memphis show only happened because there wasn't demand for Dallas#2.

Not only is it very possible, it is incredibly likely. I would say almost to the point of being a sure thing.
