So a friend of mine has a website in which his 11 year old daughter and a friend of her's interview various different bands. A couple weeks ago, while Clutch was in Columbus, Neil was gracious enough to grant them a few minutes of his time. Here is the interview if anyone is interested. Not that standard list of questions Neil typically gets asked.

Ah, it was so good to have them back and performing as the headliner!! Oh how I missed them!
Walked past Neil in the street before the gig - didn't have the heart to disturb him. Regret that now!
Said at the gig it was the start of a 2 year tour to promote the new album and they'd be back to play up, down and each side of the UK. Music to my ears! Can't wait.
So Clutch is playing a festival in my town with Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and The Sword. Problem is, Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, Papa Roach, Buckcherry and a bunch of other lame ass bands are on the bill as well. Decisions, decisions.

Pre-ordered the vinyl with one of the other Earth Rocker shirts that I liked more than the shirt in the bundle and ended up saving some $$... Can't wait for the Baltimore show on 4/20!
You were right...Crucial Velocity sounds great on first listen. Have run through the studio version of Earth Rocker twice now and still not digging that one. Just can't get past those lyrics.

My prediction is that this album will be the best since Blast Tyrant by a wide margin

Album leaked this weekend, and it's amazing! The Face is just epic. Every song has something great about it, and most have a real catchy chorus. The jam at the end of the album, the tail end of 'Wolfman...' will melt your face off.
This could become my favorite album from them, or at least a close second to Tyrant.
24 years old, mid-life crisis
nowadays hits you when you're young

Agree! The Face is the stand out track for me so far with The Wolf Man Kindly Requests... a close second. Overall it's a strong album... I wish it would have come out today since I'll be in FL for Spring Training next week... just hope my neighbors take in my package to their warm dry home!!
The album is streaming on youtube... one person even has it set as a playlist for continuous enjoyment!!

That is one of the best sets I've seen from them in a while...but I've only been following their fb updates and it doesn't seem like the pics they post show the full sets. hard to say. They're in my town april 7 - a sunday....so I said fuck it, I'm drivin 3 hours to hit the friday show too. I've waited WAY too long for a Clutch headline show to settle for a sunday vibe.
Had an opportunity to listen to the new album a few times, and it's amazing. Standout tracks for me are D.C. Sound Attack, The Face and Wolf Man. Really solid album; up tempo (except for Gone Cold, which is still a good song).
I get to see the guys for the 52nd time on April 13 in Grand Rapids. Best touring rock band there is, hands down.

Although, as a redhead, I'm pleased Ginger was his answer!!
