First gig of the year Clutch supporting Thin Lizzy.
I love that band more and more each time I see them. Hope to hell they come back and do a headline tour - it's been way too long!! Managed to get a few photos before my SLR died, alas it bit the dust before getting over to Tim's side...

I hope they tour again here soon as well. I haven't seen them since 1998. For some reason or another I keep missing them.

I only discovered them recently through a friend. They're really good, I hope its not long before they do their own tour in the UK. Would love to see them.
a 2012 UK tour is listed on their site, just no confirmed dates yet. you should be getting them in the UK sooner rather than later
I saw that but they toured as Thin Lizzy's support act this year so I thought maybe that was why and the dates get taken down as they are played.
I read somewhere a couple weeks ago that they would have 2012 dates announced soon. I remember some in North America, but Im pretty sure UK was listed as well
Sweet
I'll keep my eye out
Clutch has been one of the best bands I've seen live. Easily one of the more fun most pits I've jumped in as well.
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
I saw them in Pittsburgh once where there was no barricade. Some drunken jackass kept getting onstage and refusing to jump back off. He kept dancing around like a fool and bumping into the band. Neil politely asked that if anyone got onstage to stage dive, that they do so quickly and not interfere with the band so that they could preform to the best of their abilities. The very next song, the same guy gets up (with no shirt), runs into Tim, almost knocking him over and causing him to screw up the guitar part to "A Shogun Named Marcus". Neil grabbed the dude by the scruff of his hair and tossed his ass into the crowd, then restarted the song. I love this band
Cheers man. Yeah top 2 for me, would be a difficult decision if Clutch and PJ were playing the same night!!
I believe (or should that be hope) Clutch may possibly be over in the UK in May/June as they've booked a couple of Euro festivals around that time. Going to be one hell of a few months gig-wise if they do!

Neil is a legend and watching JP is a show in itself!

Yeah, they are all really good guys too. I've been lucky enough to meet all of them on a couple different occasions and they are all very friendly and gracious with their time.
I do miss Mick on keys though
Nice - I pretty much bump into JP at some point before the majority of shows (usually walking around with a book in hand) - a really great, humble, friendly and polite guy. He always says hello when he sees us now - and I have a fair amount of his sticks! Would love the chance to chat to Neil for a bit, I have a feeling he'd be an interesting guy to sit down with. Tim seems cool too and said a quick hello to Dan during an Anthrax set, but that's about it.
Yeah I miss the keys too - would also be great if they toured with Eric from Five Horse. The first time I saw them live over here he played with them and it was great!

CLUTCH will also be returning to Europe this festival season. The band has been confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid Spain on May 26th and the Peace and Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden on June 29th. Additional festival appearances are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Dayton, OH show is just Clutch too! I'm there

* Pittsburgh, PA 10.11.2013 *
Have you looked at this place yet? It is a classic Clutch venue. I love seeing them in dives. I'll either be in Dayton or Detroit (or both) since they are both Clutch only. (Fingers crossed for either Bakerton Group as the opener, or 2 sets of Clutch). If I end up in Dayton, we'll have to grab a beer or 3.

I'm considering making the trip to Detroit and Flint as well. They're a Saturday and Sunday, not too far from each other, and are both shows without Hell Yeah. Just gotta find a buddy to split the price of the trip with me.

It's been so long since the last UK headline tour. Hoping they'll put that right this year!

Their gigs are some of the best you'll see! Nothing better than hitting the road for a headline Clutch show!
