I'm visiting family and my 17 year old nephew just informed me that he's looking forward to watching the game with me tonight.
So, as much as I planned to ignore the game, I'll be watching and enjoying the time with him.
The love he receives is the love that is saved

You didn't miss much.  Just an awful game.  The Bears are terrible but the Panthers are even worse.  The #1 pick lost to an undrafted rookie from a D2 school.

That has to be the worst nationally "televised" game of the season match up wise.
Sunday morning isn't great, but the Colts are at least competitive, and we can see if Uncle Rico Minshew can throw a football over the German Alps.

This thing could approach Herschel Walker trade proportions if the Bears draft properly.
I mean that first from the Panthers in 24 is looking like it'll be #1 or #2 overall.
They might get Caleb "Lambeau Weep" Williams out of the deal. (though the Cards will be stiff competition for #1 overall)

Cards could move on from Kyler, he’s another lil qb experiment that won’t work out in the end

you gotta pair Williams with Harrison WR… that’s a winning combo, or even Drake Maye

i bet Fields goes to ATL… seams like right fit

When all the draft stuff was happening, I could not understand why someone would take Young over Stroud.  They had almost the same stats in college, they both played top tier competition, etc.  The different is that CJ is materially taller.  I don't know why the draft experts and Panthers had Young higher.  Made no sense.
  • CROJAM95CROJAM95 Posts: 9,870
    Stroud was my number 1
Young is tiny, one big hit away

Levis looks good so far too, he may get some folks fired… lotta shitty qb play for him to fall to rd 2

As an alumnus I watch their games pretty closely....as painful as that can be.  He is a heck of a leader and puts 100% into his team.  His guys love him.

The physical gifts are there for sure. The mental makeup is as important as that component, we'll see if he has that.

Tom Brady didn't enter the NFL with all the physical tools of some guys, but he had the mental component in spades.
Jeff George and Ryan Leaf and a host of others entered the league with all the physical gifts, but couldn't handle the mental part of the game.
