I do wonder where McDaniels ends up....second firing as head coach

I'm glad he backed out of the Colts offer a few years ago.

McDaniels is the Peter Principle personified. Excellent OC, terrible HC.

I’m pretty sure he will never end up as a HC again….at least not in the NFL.

Based on this post by Wob, it is fair to say that McDaniels has a bright future as a head coach in the NFL.

McDaniels shouldn't be a HC for a high school.  I'm trying to figure out if Devante Adams is washed, or he's either too stubborn (maybe him and Adams didn't get along) or stupid to find ways to get him the ball.  Plus running Derek Carr out of town for Jimmy G was pretty dumb.  You didn't upgrade the position, you just brought in your boy who's proven nothing outside of Kyle Shannahan's "color inside the lines" scheme for QBs.

I think McDaniels may end up doing NCAA.

I cant see a good path for him to get back to being a head coach in the NFL.  He strikes me as having that college coach look.

Urban was cool for a few years (OSU years).  But to say that Urban sucked as a college head coach is disconnected from reality.  If you mean pro, then agreed.

Not saying he sucked as a college coach at all.  You could make an argument he was as good as Saban if he hadn't retired twice from college.

It was pretty good at Florida and Ohio State too.

Utah was not even on the radar before he got there.  It seems to me he built what is there today.
