What a great song that one is.

there's not a bad song on this album.....easily one of my favorite records.

I picked up a used hard copy the other day for a damn good price. Great record for sure!

Whiskey For The Holy Ghost has to be one of the 10 or so albums I've listened to the most since I got it. Every song is great, and I know them inside and out like few others.

I can't wait to see him live next month.

Saw Mark on Friday at The Hi-Fi in Sydney. It was only a short set (they always seem to be short, his acoustic show only lasted about an hour too) but it was still friggin awesome! Opening with Gravedigger's Song is a stroke of genius, those drums just tear the place up. I got 2 videos that I'll try to put up on Youtube soon, unfortunately I didn't get Gravedigger's though.

    1. The Gravedigger's Song
    2. Hit the City
    3. One Way Street
    4. Resurrection Song
    5. One Hundred Days
    6. Quiver Syndrome
    7. Riot in My House
    8. Tiny Grain of Truth
    9. Harborview Hospital
    Encore:
    10. Methamphetamine Blues

There was a pretty cool poster for the Australian tour, by Rhys Cooper:

I'm seeing him in Boston in May. The show is coming up quickly, I'm pumped.

I'm seeing him for the first time in my home city of Aberdeen, Scotland in August. Just bought tickets from my local record store today... Was a bit  when I saw they were selling tickets because A) It's basically unimaginable that he'd play here, and B) The venue he is playing doesn't even exist (yet...)!

I recently got a promotion at work, and it couldn't ahve come at a better time because said promotion is making the trip from SLC to Portland doable. Nothing stopping us from seeing Lanegan in Portland now. I am gleaming with excitement, and counting the days. :D

Yeah, that setlist is definitely wrong, I found it online and copied it without checking it as I was at work and rushing :fp: The set list was pretty close to the one that you listed, it was an awesome show - it didn't feel like it was that long though

Seeing him tomorrow and I can't wait!
  • Saw him last night for the fifth time, but strangely enough for the first time where he was performing by himself. Great show as always with him, nice setlist and he played two songs from the latest release from the Trees which were great to hear. The songs from Funeral sounded great live.

After the show he was nice enough to sign autographs and talk with people. Got his autograph and talked with him briefly about potential Celtics Clippers finals matchup. Great night all the way around. Lanegan is the man.

I just got out of tonights concert and all I can say is "wow". That was easily the best show I've seen this year!

Saw him in Minneapolis last night, front and center. Absolutely incredible. His band is tight as hell, especially his guitarist who looked like Johnny Cash. Got a picture with him after the show, got him to sign my vinyl of Blues Funeral and said thanks for all the great music over the last twenty-five years. He's a true survivor and legend.

Did you bring in your vinyl or buy it there? I've been thinking about taking mine to Portland and bringing it in the venue (if possible) to get him to sign it.
