Cornell produced and did backing vocals for the Screaming Tree's album, Uncle Anesthesia.
  • I've given it a few good listens now, easily the best album I've heard in a fair while. I love the fact that it doesn't sound like anyone else, the musical stylings are all over the place, yet it all sounds so cohesive.

I've seen Lanegan/Gutter Twins 3 times in the last couple of years, the first time I saw him a (female!) friend of mine described his voice as (and I quote) "gusset moistening", I couldn't argue with that!!

    Can't wait for this album

  • If any other album tops Blues Funeral this year then that album would be damn amazing.

    This album is incredible.

    Awesome :D
  • Been listening to this for about a week now and it just gets better with each listen. It takes time to acquire the masterpiece designation, but this album has masterpiece written all over it. So proud to be a fan of this man for so long. He's one of the very few I can bank on EVERY time to put out something consistently great. Somehow this album exceeded my expectations, which were already pretty high. I just hope we don't have to wait another 8 years for the next one. Judging from recent interviews, it sounded like this one was recorded leisurely, but was written in less than 6 months. He's already stated that he doesn't plan on taking so long to release his next album, which will almost certainly also include Alain Johannes (another genius). I think his next release will be a collaboration Duke Garwood...
  • Mojo mag gave the album ***** stars which is rare, so I imagine its AWESOME!!! Can't wait!

Is it too early to vote for Album Of The Year? I can't think of anything coming up that is likely to get close to this

Close the polls now, Lanegan wins by a landslide.

This is a lot to ask of a musician I deeply respect like Lanegan, but I would love to see some more states touched on his US tours...

Just a wishful fan, that's all.

I'd love to hear Mark collaborate with Duke Garwood! I saw him support The Gutter Twins a few times and I remember thinking that they would sound good together. Have you heard any rumours or is it just wishful thinking?

No this is for real! I don't have the source handy at the moment, but during one of his many recent interviews, he confirmed that he was about finished recording an album with 'his friend, Duke Garwood.' He didn't say when it would be released, but they've definitely made a record together.

I know it is very early in 2012 but seriously, if this doesn't get nods for an album of the year, there is no hope for mankind.

This would definitely be worth ordering on vinyl. 8-)

The use of synthesizers and the electronica feel to some songs is a cool mix-up from everything else on the album. Loving the flow of it so far.

I didn't have any self control and I already downloaded the album and I've listened to it multiple times already, but I just got off the phone with the record store to make sure they have a copy on vinyl for me. Of course now I wish I would have waited to hear the vinyl first, but oh well
