Thx G.Your so right.Brent Smith is a great singer/songwriter.Very under appreciated.Im really looking forward to the show.
And as far as changing diapers.Been there done that pal.We all got to pay our dues.Thats why me and Mrs are catching up now on what we missed thru all those years of schlepping around the country with Travel Hockey,Football, dance and cheerleading.I wouldn't change any of it and it helped pay for the kids college,But I'm enjoying the shit out of the here and now, very, very, much.

Maybe you can just are the link in your social media feeds. Most of the money donated so far has been from the great people on AET. Thank you guys in advance.

I'm now hearing out of Miami that the rescue search for the two 14 year old boys will be suspended tonight. This is so sad to hear but the families are STILL not giving up and so am I. I'll continue to hold out hope they will be found....This song I'll play for them that will be rescued.....

This song is from guitarist Joe Satriani....Until We Say GoodBye

    Sweet, g.

rr, you keep enjoying that live music. I think I'm on my way to some good tunes in short order.

And Last-12, good luck with that. (NOT meant sarcastically, by the way!)

We have some really good-hearted folks here. Much appreciated, and then some.

B, was it you who turned me onto this, which I'd originally thought was a Costello deal?

    So so pretty.

Where are the strong? And who are the trusted?

(I know where the harmony is, though :) )

I know I posted that Lowe original somewhere on one of the PJ forum sections but where and when...? Failed memory test, haha! Good to hear it again!

Just getting back from Lollapalooza. Saw Alabama Shakes, Gary Clarke Jr., and Paul McCartney. Shakes were great, Gary Clarke Jr was even better, but Paul McCartney was simple awesome. If you have never seen him live before its a must for any rock n roll music lover. He was true professional and played such a special set. If he comes anywhere near you, go see him!!!

Nicely done Dan.I saw Gary Clarke a few weeks ago and he is amazing.Did he play some special cover tunes?
McCartney is still on my bucket list.
Sounds like a lighter lineup for Palooza?

Not sure what you mean by lighter, but METALLICA is tonight!!!! I hate them as people, but there was a point on my early life I listened to them every fucking day. Their concerts are a wonder.
Lolla has become very EDM and very corporate. It is was it is, I profit from it so I am part of the problem. The $ generated by this festival is mind blowing. 110 thousand people a day....
I haven't talked w/ Perry yet, which I usually somewhere throughout the weekend. He seriously is a special human, you can just feel it talking to him.

Perry seems like a good guy - and writes/sings like a motherfucker.

My guy is/was a huge Metallica fan until he got disgusted with them. Still blasts them once in awhile.

    Keep safe while working there!

Do you know the members of metalica? Why do you hate them as people?

I have delt w/ Lars a few times at clubs and various other side gigs and he has always been an arrogant prick. The help never seems to like him after Serving him so that always is a tell all to me. Hetfield is a legendary drunk and has made many enemies in the rock n roll world over the years. That's why he don't drink no more, so he says. But whatever, they still rule...as long as they play the old shit

    How was the show Dan-o?

Hedo,I've heard a few interviews with Perry, and I agree he seems like he's a good dude with a wicked vision for song writing. And some good musicians who add to that little jambalaya of rock n roll goodness that is Jane's.Freaky fuckers though you can't deny.In a good entertaining way.

Always love your energy here, rr.

Giving myself a manicure (in the same asphalt color as my Diablo!) while digging on some Alice, both old and new. Also had one of those "how did I not get this sooner?" gentle slap-in-the-face moments.

    Thank you, life.

Crazy talented and really stretched into all different kinds of music when he went solo. He never really stopped having his hand in all kinds of projects. An avid cyclist too.

I can't remember off the top of my head where I saw it - maybe that CBS Sunday morning show a few years ago? - but Byrne had a badass piano installation at a museum, I think. Innovative in a "the fuck, really?" way. I'll post a link if I can find one.

Meantime, as I've been exploring and sucking up all sorts of music today, I came upon this.

Here you go Hedo, I posted this somewhere before, but it's the spawn of another crazy talented dude with John Tesh of all people rocking out.

I have this concert on CD and DVD and was just listening to it the other day in the car. One of my favourite muscians, and Talking Heads was (still is!) one of my favourite band.

I love how it's not just PJ that binds us, but music itself.

Not to mention the healing powers when just inhaled, solo.

Watching this right now, and venture to say my smile is bigger than Jack's.

What year was the Ramones show? R.Krieger still looks young.
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
rr, I believe that Ramones clip was filmed out here in 1992 - according to youtube, anyway. And...I'm answering your Cornell / Singles question here vs that other thread. Are you talking about this? (been quite awhile since I watched the film!)
