If I listened to that voice I wouldn't workout...and then the next day will be, "you slacked off yesterday...wasn't that sooooo nice? "

I have to tell it "STFU!"

today I'm glad I didn't take the day off...

Gonna have to down some ibuprofen...otherwise it's gonna be ugly!

I discovered that long hot baths were my best friend the first week...a hot tub would have been better. Right before bed. My massage therapist recommended me to use Sombra Gel. it's like icy hot but you can get 'warm' or 'cool'...a bath/heating pad after using it helps it absorb deeper.

Mca, wait until you see the number plyometrics is going to do to your legs. It'll be difficult to walk. Keep pushing through it though. The pain goes away and before long the workouts will seem a lot 'easier'

Im happy to finally see a thread about this. Its an awesome program. Im about to start back up myself. You cant help but get results as long as you stick to it. Some days will be better than others but you will start to see results like you have never seen before. I love it.

(I probably sound like i should be in the infomercial. I have to admit, I am a bit brainwashed by Beachbody, Ive done Insanity a couple of times too).

    Well, that sucked!
It wouldn't have been all that bad had it not been for my hips still hurting from the first day.

Yeah, a hot tub sounds pretty awesome! Hahaha!

I think beachbody is the authority in fitness. The programs are all dynamite, and the nutritional guidelines are dead on. The only issue is their supplements and shakes which are overpriced, and overhyped by them. It seems like you can get better products elsewhere cheaper. If you go to their site's message board, it is filled with tons of people who literally went from 300+ pounds to visually appealing... with just these at home programs.

I don't have any stake in them either. I have education in nutrition, physiology, and ex physiology, and I find the whole thing to be amazing.

    ugh...I am SO behind today...

Had to run errands, my alarm didn't go off at 7:45am, it went off at 9am :x

LateLateLate ALL DAY. Didn't get to workout first thing in the morning, I got to sit in traffic for 90 minutes. No, I didn't 'bring it'...

5pm I finally get to workout.

    DAY 13-KENPO

Not one of my favorites, I feel like whimping out after the first 30 minutes, then at 45 minutes, I start to get my energy back , but I am SO glad when it's over.

My glutes are still sore from yesterday. it makes me think about their 'Brazilian Butt Lift' video and I'm glad I'm not doing that workout.

Saw my chiro today...he loves P90x, and will lend me his chin-up bar. He also said that the plough position (Yoga) puts unnecessary strain on the neck (that's the position I posted a pic of) told me to not do it...also showed me how to do the standard sit-up in a way that will still work my upper abs, and not strain my neck.

Tomorrow is 'rest day', but I'll try the stretch video and see how it goes.

Day 3: Sore as hell all day. Got better once I started. Shouldes and arms was super easy. Abx for the second time sucked. Gayest DVD from Tony so far. Actually, I think he might be gay right before he gawks over man-face-chick  Who knows?!! Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just sayin

youre going to hate that broad ("Dreya") by the end of it. She grates at the nerves.

And Rkcndy, do the stretch if you have an hour. It feels nice. A few moves are repeated from Yoga... but its good to do.

I got Yoga in about an hour. Not a fan, but my calf is really tight, so Im actually looking forward to this.

For those of you that get sore after weight training, I recommend taking a Glutamine supplement. You can get it at GNC or any vitamin store. They're amino acids which really help alleviate that next or second day burn!

    DAY 14-REST DAY

ok, I did Stretch X today...not bad. My triceps/shoulders are a bit sore from kenpo.

Got a blender bottle so I don't have to use my blender every day. That thing is awesome! these past 2 weeks seemed to fly by so fast. I actually am excited for week 4 where I get to change up the routines.

Just got done with Day 4 - yoga.
I sweat my ass off!!! Had to stop a few times....er, more like collapse. Days 1-3 were a cakewalk compared to that shit!
I had to break form a lot....mostly so I could look up at the screen to see what the hell they were doing!

Gotta admit, this whole program is a lot of fun! Still sore, but now in a good way! :D

I kind of hated the Yoga at first because i felt so awkward and clumsy and was always looking at the damn screen but once i did it a couple of times and didnt have to look anymore i actuallly started to enjoy it. The first 45 minutes or so are a bit tough but after that it slows down.

    DAY 15

starting the 3rd week. the push ups are still tough for me. My pecs still get sore from the push ups. My progress on those are by far the slowest, this week, I've improved by 2-3 more than the last week.

Really not looking forward to plyometrics. I think I prefer Kenpo to plyo... :|

I admit...I'm really impatient. I have not lost any more weight, and the scale keeps bouncing up and down in that 5# range that I thought I had originally lost.

Yes, I realize that I am building muscle, and muscle burns fat...but just a few ticks off my weight is such a motivational boost.

MayDay10- do you recommend eating back the calories burned during a workout? I looked at the diet plan and it has me eating some crazy amount of calories, which is mind blowing to me. So I'm following WW, not looking to bulk up...want to lose weight and get toned.

The p90x plan is jacked up quite a bit.

I would suggest to take your weight, X13 and subtract 500. Try to eat those calories. The portions in phase I of the diet are good where you should get a lot of protein and really limit the carbs.

Adjust the calories based on how your weight is doing. 1-2.5 lbs a week on average lost is good. With that diet it would pretty much be all fat lost. Also, it is possible to run out of energy ("bonking") during the workouts at a calorie deficit. If this is the case, take the carbs you normally eat and reschedule them in before you work out.

ugh...I love carbs! Potatoes, bread, pasta...love it all. Have been cutting back though.

    DAY 19

I can get more reps in, and the moves are easier...but man, I'm starting to sweat so much more. :?

Since the last weigh-in/measurements on the 20th
Weight lost: 0  (total weight lost 4lbs)
Inches Lost: 2.5 :D (total inches lost 5.5)

I noticed that my forearms are shaping up nicely...just realized that I have no desire to look like:

    annawatson%5B013012%5D_345x259_0.jpg

ok...more protein, more veggies, less carbs.

Had day 8 yesterday. Went sooooo much better than the first time around. While I didn't have as much energy as I hoped I would have, I was able to do meet or beat the previous number of reps on everything. Ab Ripper is going a lot better now too.
Oh, and my arms, shoulders, abs didn't hurt at all after yesterday too. That first two days, I could barely move...now it's no big deal. :D
I don't have a scale, so I can't tell you how much or if anything I've lost...but I'm not really doing it for weight loss anyways. The feeling of being able to feel all these muscles is pretty awesome!
