if they are 10c tickets then they come in pairs, therefore a pair of 10c wristands so you would be included

I'm just going to ask: Why does Tim Bierman still have a job?

His disdain towards the fans has been repeated time and again. I understand he comes under fire here and while it may suck, it's not been without justification. His reactions have been unprofessional and if any of us treated a customer or client the same way he has treated us, we'd be out of a job.

He also showed no responsibility to the customers over the course of this mess. Not even an apology after 30+ hours of zero information... not even an acknowledgment that they had no idea what was wrong but they were sorry for the delay, etc. See, it's not difficult. The fan club should be run by people who respect the fans.

You haven't answered one of my questions from early in the thread.
Nor mine, and I can't seem to find any of my four messages I posted anymore. Maybe I am just tired...

    What?

Come on, you are better then this post.
sure, but i need an official answer at this..one time only in 21 years at my country isnt much,right..?
I think the correct answer to your question is that more countries than Greece need your love! You're doing a great job of spreading it around! Seriously though, the 2006 show is evidence enough that Greece needs another visit. Don't even get me started on Scotland!!

Well if no-one else is gonna say it... regardless of whether or not the 2nd Manchester show was announced I'm delighted it was so thank you for that...

The lack of communication over the presale however was dreadful. I understand there were serious issues going on but you need to understand how important these gigs are to so many people and the fact that they literally put their lives on hold whilst trying to get into them... no communication for what nearly 30 hours was like a slow torture over here.

    Kelly,

I manage a fan base and I know this is a hard job. Hang in there.

I understand why people are angry and I am sure if any band can do something to appease fans it's this one.

If you ever need new blood I would love to help out with a band I love and I love what I do.

    Good luck with this.
  • Will the Band add another couple of Fan Club Only Shows? -- that would be sublime and I am sure all would be enormously grateful.
have not even had time to address this idea yet

What a great idea this would be! Let us know in advance please so we can plan!

  • Hi Kelly. Here's a question and a comment for you. Why all the interest in answering these types of questions with us now? We've had the nighmare for years and recently the PJ20 and Ed solo shows were both a disaster. Nothing was addressed then. What makes this Euro tour ticketing issue more significant than these other two?

Kelly, I know you're going through these as quickly as you can. I'm bumping my question up in case I missed your answer somewhere in here. The forum is moving slowly, so it's possible I've missed your reply.

    Thanks.

from now on, we can post on the ten club site right when we approve for another show to be added so that you guys know.
Do you find it weird that you says "from now on" and you and tenclub doesn't understand we want this info? That we have to complain like this for you to make the decision "from now on".

is that not pretty weird? That THE FANCLUB doesnt undertand after X years of existance that the fans wan't this info at once.

Where lies the glitch. Between fans and tenclub not giving out info. Or Between you and not giving the tenclub info?

My god. "from now on", obviously great for the future but still a big - "oh sorry, we just haven't cared about you or thought about you wanting information about these kind of things"

Thank you for coming here on this board and talk to us. We are all still a bit upset with what happened, but I know lots of ppl appreciate the effort to solve the issues here.
Sorry for the non question part here. ;)

oh and no offence Mr Curtis... are you suggesting to us, the fans, that the 2nd night has never been discussed with you? Are you suggesting that TM sell the 2nd night out and then dictate to the band that they MUST play a 2nd night?

please do not insult our intelligence... the band, the mgt and all staff would have known about a 2nd night so why could that not have been announced before TM released tickets? I know for a fact that webpages can be set to go live at certain times... i.e. a news item on PJ could have been set to go live at 8.55am UK time this morning with info about the 2nd night.

You're evading the most burning questions. Whilst i'm sure everyone appreciates the fact you are here.. please don't skip the most emotive points. :)

let me try again...i can tell I either missed the point of this question or didn't answer it clearly. this is an industry standard, not something specific to the way i do it. there are some cities where i think we might be able to play more than one show, but I don't assume that until after we put the first show up for sale, and we see what the demand is. (there are exceptions to this rule...of course...there are some cities where we know for sure there will be demand for multiple shows so we put them both up at once. but more often i am making the decision in real time.) if the first show sells out and it seems like there is demand for a second show, i will approve for another show to go on sale right after the first one sells out or looks like it is going to.

Cheers Kelly that's a help and I appreciate your time and help, sorry would have made a perfect response.....

  • Why was there a distinct lack of information given to fans about the situation? Two days sat at a computer waiting for some information was ridiculous. Or no heads up about the 2nd Manchester date, because of which I am having to book flights from Scotland (Again it has been 12 years...maybe you'd like to come back? If you remember it) to Berlin where I could only get seated tickets. As a 10c member I thought I would have been treated better.

Is there any plan to have any extra dates in the tour? Perhaps a 10c only date?

i found the big questions you typed ;) here they are:

    - why did you decide to stop it instead of still giving people a chance to get through?
    - why did all 6 concerts go for sale at the same time?
    - why not give local fans priority for their home concerts?
    - why did you not use the same companies that are used for the general sales?
    - was there a plan B in case this would happen?
    - if not, why not?
    - why can not all presales be in weekends so people don't have to cancel meetings and take hours or days off?
    - why were you so strict with the renewal date, even though some people had technical problems that made them be too late?
    - why all the hurry and the short times between the announcement, the Ten Club sale and the regular ones?
    - were you aware of all the people who could not sleep from Tuesday to Thursday because they did not get any news and needed to keep watching?
    - how many Ten Club members are there?
    - and why did you still not send out a tweet or a Facebook message when you knew about the second Manchester?
    - are any other second shows planned?
    - will we get any sort of compensation for missed tickets and time?
    - do you read from fans on other places than the official forum?

try again? you've never answered the point before so how can you try again?

Since 1995 PJ has historically sold out every show in the Uk with no problems, ergo a 2nd night was always on the cards... in fact i bet the schedule shown to the band on the first meeting about this showed a 2 night gig in Manchester... no questions... you KNOW how quick this band sells out its shows.. so why try and blinker that? The 2nd gig was always, repeat ALWAYS on the cards.. TM dont decide there is a 2nd night... YOU do. Therefore you should have told Tim/Kat/Sea to annouce it via here... i cannot see why you wouldnt do that?

Its not like you woke up this morning to an email from MEN Arena saying that you had sold out Night 1 so they have put on a night 2 without asking you... it would have been part of the negotations right from the get-go... why attempt to pull the wool over peoples eyes about this point?

Why oh why could you have NOT announced the 2nd night? This evasiveness is putting you in good stead for the Senate my friend... they also have a knack for avoiding the question.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Just one more suggestion: please make Ten Club tickets transferable from one member to another. It should be technically easy to implement, and I can only see benefits. You could even limit it to a certain amount of times.

    groetjes,
    Mirella :)

Just to add to this; if you require us to buy 2 tickets, you have a moral obligation to transfer tix to another name, because if the ten club member who bought the tix can't make it, the member's ticket partner ALSO gets screwed. The reason they stopped transferring tickets, I believe, Mirella, is because people with low numbers were buying tons of tickets and then transferring them to friends with higher numbers.

The ideal solution is that if a member cannot go, ONE of their tickets will be transferred to their ticket partner.

Thanks for taking the time Sir..

my question, and i know some of the band arent hot on it,

but isnt the answer to all these problems, just for them to play lots more shows? no fan no matter how rabid, can make it to every one, this way everyone can go along to some.

that way everyone would be happy, no?

    - Do you personally think that a fanclub only show (at a reasonable big place) is a bad thing to throw in during the tour? As compensation or something. And not for only 1500 people like the Vic in 2006.

    - Even if you did not not what have happened exactly, why did you stay completely quiet when the forum was in uproar - and not say at least something. SOMETHING. And not quiet for 30hours.

    - Was the second manchester show decided without PJ and the ticketmaster sale just magically start? Even if you only knew a few hours before - Shouldnt you have informed the fans?

    - Do you think the communcation from the fanclub to the fans are working?

    - Are any ides of some kind of compensaition being discussed?

    - Do the band want to realese a statement, or an apology about any of this?
