    Another quick point.
Why must fan club tickets be sold in pairs, surely it would be best to have the option of one or two, thereby releasing more tickets to more people. Many people only want one then have the hassle of trading it.

    Thanks again .

But really. Take in the critisism. COMMUNICATE even when you don't have much/anything to say. Don't stay dead silent while we don't know what to do.

And seriosuly, look over the tenclub. This year has been a plague in many ways. The ticket-thing has been a distatser for us since 2005. That is 7 years you could have made it work - but didn't.

but thanks for booking Sweden this time around!

as some sort of way of making up to fans, especially at the manchester shows. would it be possible to put up a secondary barrier so far up the floor, and have a 10club members only standing area at the front.

    Hello mr. Curtis.
I am very happy that Pearl Jam is playing Europe. Much appreciated.
What I often wonder about is how do you (or who ever decides this) pick where to play?

In general if I look at statistics you seem to gravitate more to the North and West, than South and East (although that I also notice that you sometimes consider places that haven't been played in a while).
I'm guessing if you would want to go to the center point that would be according to most encyclopedias: south of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, South-West Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and perhaps Slovenia.
So what is the real criteria?

How this is connected to the tickets for this pre-sale..
I am sure you are aware that we fans travel long distances, but this time I guess 3-4 more shows would disperse fans a bit more and would maybe avoid the situation where people from the North can go to a show in their own country due to a high ticket demand and only a "few" solo shows. Tickets on this tour are also very expensive, which I guess is also because Scandinavia in general is more expensive. (I do not want to give a false impression Sweden, Norway and Denmark deserved a show, it's been a while.)
I'm guessing this is the band's policy to play short tours.. but a reflection on this from you would be appreciated.
Thanks! And again many many thanks for coming to Europe at all!

Do you think that the growing rift in many fans' eyes between Pearl Jam / Ten Club is a problem? Isn't this a PJ management issue?
everything pj is a management issue.. the good or bad...

I guess so, and there is a lot of good for you all to take credit for. I just think the current scenario of 'Love Pearl Jam / Hate Ten Club' is a very destructive one, with a pessimistic outlook. I think you coming here and answering questions directly is major progress actually. So, thanks. And thanks for answering

Why do we seem to be having an issue with the website RIGHT NOW?

    It's extremely slow.

It's been like this for a few weeks - every time there are more than about 180 members online. Before the ticket sale, during the ticket sale, after the ticket sale......

Hi Kelly, since you asked for suggestions for a better system, here are my two cents:
    - first and foremost: better communication: in a time of twitter it would be fine for @pearljam to keep us updated of any problems - even if the cause is not yet known. That would generate a lot of understanding.
    - more time between tour announcement and start of pre-sale
    - bigger batch of TC pre-sale tickets available upfront: those tickets which are not sold can be released to the general public
    - more time between start and end of pre-sale and start of general sale
    - transparency: all comments under the concerned news-items have been deleted, whilst by far most comments were frustrated yet decent in tone. This adds insult to injury.
    - we are here for the band, but the band would not be here if it weren't for the loyal masses. Why pick a 'white-label' (i.e. no brand, no pride) company that puts in its bio Bands, Organisers, Venues, Promotors etc. all in priority capitol letters, but fans, paying customers, ticket buyers in the last place?
    - true respect for those who are willing to pay is of higher ethical standards than the eagerness to create hypes, record 'sold out'-times, or whatever.

Thanks very much for doing this. This is really appreciated and surely a step in the right direction.

  • Kelly, There are at this time, 187 different sets of tickets (individual items) listed for Manchester on Ebay. One seller states in the description "ticket face value £50" but is selling four tickets as buy it now so no bidding for £600!

This must be a particularly bitter pill for those people who could not get tickets in the general sale having not had the chance of the presale.

What if anything can be done about this by the bands and would the band or their management be willing to help in stopping this kind of shameful profiteering?

this is beginning to get silly... please answer the 2nd night question.

you would have known about the possibility of a 2nd night... you've added salt to the wound by not announcing this via tenclub.. is this a contractual issue? just say it is...

historically you've sold out out every UK gig in a short amount of time... so why hold back on that 2nd date?

why insult us even more by not answering this question? you've answered about servers, crowdsurge, band knowledge, etc...

I know this question is in the top 2 of questions wanting an answer... why prolong the agony? you wish to mock us further?
